Nooooooooo Lewis!!!! I'm talking about just the opposite. But if we don't be quiet this is going to start drawing a crowd and then it's going to turn into another homosexuality debate. :silly: :smt075
now lets hope this thing will disappear

P.S. Lewis you don't own me an apology, you did nothing wrong.
Ok let keep this quiet.

Hi everyone,

I somehow missed this thread. Sorry. I think that if we have a place for "controversial" topics then we run the risk of people intentionally stirring the pot. Not that it doesn't happen already, but that we will have provided a place for it to happen, and enourage it to happen, and people will just write there for that specific purpose. I think that would be a place that I would never frequent, and would be awful in tone. I also think that some people may only frequent there, or at least spend a lot of time there, and miss out on the lighthearted, and sweet, things of the general forum.
This is just my opinion. The Lord bless you all.

The wonderful thought God just gave me is that, by trusting in God's 'many & precious promises' we actually CAN 'rejoice in the Lord always' - 'be thankful to God in ALL circumstances' - 'weep with those who weep..mourn with those who mourn'

Folk in crisis, or under great stress, often can't think @ where, in such a big site, their new thread should go

Very often, they don't even know what the title will be as they hit 'new topic'

& the words just flow when they start typing

I always just ask God to guide me - to send the right emails to my inboxes & to give me the right words as I type, as I'm always in L'pool Central Library. where there are 32 PCs in 1 room :o

Right now, 2 foreign guys are talking away in an E Euro lingo@ the next PC 8-)

Others are making agitated enquiries at both general reception & PC reception

As 4 the many unexpected coughs & sneezes...

Hey: I nearly forgot this timely word from http://www.arcamax.com

Today's Scripture

Living in The Fear of the Lord

Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace. It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.

Acts 9:31 NIV

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Weekly Meditation

My Soul Thirsts for Thee

God--you're my God! I can't get enough of you!
I've worked up such hunger and thirst for God,
traveling across dry and weary deserts.

So here I am in the place of worship, eyes open,
drinking in your strength and glory.

In your generous love I am really living at last!
My lips brim praises like fountains.

I bless you every time I take a breath;
My arms wave like banners of praise to you.

Psalm 63:1-4 The Message

I'm really confused as to what 'wouldn't' be considered by 'someone' to be controversial when it comes to 'religion'?
