Should the churches have some say in divorce

Right. Just the authority to respond accordingly to whatever decision is made, right or wrong, by the persons involved. That they do have the authority and the obligation to do. But this is exactly what the church has refused to do.

And that's one of the reasons the church is in the condition it is today.
 
The church today is made up of individuals. Individuals that can open the door when He knocks. Individuals that can have communication with God. People who have Jesus interceding for them. A royal priesthood. People who can walk in spiritual gifts. People who have the spirit convicting of good and evil.

The bedrock of the Father.
The cornerstone of the Son
The foundation stones of the prophets and the apostles
Us as lively stones laid by courses on the above

Just a few problems to address.
