Unbelievers have posted on social media to gather and attack Christians with weapons, and kill everyone, assault woman children.

Should these believers sharpen the sword and attack and kill these unbelievers if they attack. It's their own place, village and houses but others with attack because they are believers.

Thank you!

You and the other Christians should be ready and able to defend yourself .

Have heard of this. It has been going on in India for a while, the top guy over there (Prime Minister Modi) has encouraged it. I think we all know what Christ the Lord has said about this, but these words of His are perhaps the most difficult for any of us.

Don't let them provoke you; they are only trying to get a reaction from you to justify their actions.

Stay calm, and remember Matthew 10:16.

Always remember that the devil enters through your mistakes. Be prepared for the worst scenario, but never, ever let yourself fall into provocations.

No.

Mat 5:11 “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account.
Mat 5:12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
...
Mat 5:44 But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,
Mat 5:45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

Mat 10:23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Mat 23:34 Therefore I send you prophets and wise men and scribes, some of whom you will kill and crucify, and some you will flog in your synagogues and persecute from town to town,
Mat 23:35 so that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Barachiah, whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar.

Joh 15:18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you.
Joh 15:19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
Joh 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
Joh 15:21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.

Rom 12:14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

Eph 6:10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

1Pe 2:21 For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.
1Pe 2:22 He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth.
1Pe 2:23 When he was reviled, he did not revile in return; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but continued entrusting himself to him who judges justly.

(All ESV.)

All of this suggests that when persecuted for the sake of Christ there should be no retaliation or even self-defense.

The response still has to be a legal one.

How many Christians live in a village compared to how many hindus, the odds are what 1000:1.
How do you defend ones home against most of ones neighbours?
How will the hindus respond, with more violence and more violence.

we can only pray for your protection.

I will let the word of God speak for itself.

Mat 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
Mat 10:27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Mat 10:29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.
Mat 10:30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Mat 10:31 Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.
Mat 10:32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
John 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

Rom 12:14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

No, as that is not what those born of God do.
If danger is immanent, leave the area !

Update from opendoors:-
Last week, we shared news that alarmed Christians in India: a call for violence against ‘cow slaughterers’ (a term that Hindu extremists sometimes use for Christians). Two speeches – one by a religious leader and one by a man named Aadesh Soni – suggested that people who butchered cows or ate beef were fair game for attack.

Many Christians around the world, including you, prayed against any potential mob violence. As your prayers went up, God heard and interevened. Hallelujah!

There were no reports of violence or persecution throughout the day. The situation in the three villages remained peaceful and calm, with vigilant police officials patrolling constantly.

Prayers are still needed
In his video announcing the cancellation of the 1 March rally, Aadesh Soni stressed that this is not the end of their mission. He said the fight for “Gau Nyay” (justice to cows) will continue and his supporters must remain vigilant to ensure that no illegal activities of cow slaughtering take place.

Please continue to pray with our brothers and sisters in India, and praise God that violence was averted on 1 March.

Suggest sign up to open doors and do as they say.....Pray.

Hi My Dreams
I think that Jesus expects his brothers and sisters to take it just as he did. His words to us were to count it all joy when we are persecuted for his name's sake. I know that a lot of people aligned with the christian faith will quote where Jesus told the disciples to take with them a sword when they were journeying about, but there is no evidence, and nearly all of the apostles were killed for their faith, that any of them understood that as a call to defend themselves with it. The only apostle that used a sword or knife for defense was Peter when Jesus was arrested and Jesus rebuked him for that action. In another place concerning violence against believers, Jesus told us to turn the other cheek when someone were to attack them physically.

The big question is whether or not a believer truly trusts in God. But as someone previously noted, it's a hard thing to do in our humanness.
