It all depends upon the heart of the person who is rich.
There are many people whom others would term 'wealthy.' They use their money to support a variety of Christian causes and charities; one family I know bought and then donated a large parcel of land to a Christian youth charity...even paid for the development of the land for the specific purposes for that group.
We are to be good stewards, whether it concerns finances or spreading the word of our Lord to others. So it is not a crime to be rich; it all depends upon the heart of those with wealth.

Right, nothing at all wrong with being rich, or even with the desire to be rich. It's not a problem at all until it becomes more important to you than is serving God. Once it's more important than God, then money has become your idol. The problem is that it's very easy to let it become an idol. That's why Jesus told us it's very hard for a rich person to get into heaven. Too many make an idol out of either gaining more money or protecting what they've already gained.

Actually scripture says "...the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil..." (1 Timothy 6:10a). It's not even the love of money that is a sin. It's the sin that can come from that love that is evil. We can love lots of things as long as we don't love them more than we love God, and we don't allow them to lead us into evil.
God should always come first above everything and everyone.
I was shocked.Someone was doing a good deed.
I respect the person who can do a good deed for someone and keep it totally anonymous.It is only between them and God.
