Sinning under duress

I do agree with us that we as Christians are under duress and pressure nd attacks of whatever nature...

does some one, or some religion, or some denomination claim or say to you that you might be forgiven if you sin under duress, or that it is not a sin when under duress ?

Thank you for asking. I'm so glad you are the first to do :)

Yes.
In fact they didn't term it sin. They called it commonsense, I paraphrase. Called ir wicked 'not to do so'

Just that I fail to understand why someone would have to justify the account of those people that told lies in the bible OT in order to save a situation.

I actually ask such questions (threads )...'cause I don't have all the answers.

Thanks once again

What if the duress is someone else being threatened?

that happens frequently, and happened frequently in wwII.
the true believers who trusted Yhwh and did not fear death or torture, died and were tortured, and did not sin.

others caved in, sinned, and it is up to Yhwh what becomes of them. His Word does not give much hope for them.

Kevin,
365 times in scripture we are instructed not to worry. We are not instructed that we should not worry if this or that is the condition, the command is unconditional and if we, truly, believe, getting our eads loped of is just a free ticket Home.

You're right follower, and in Vietnam there was a, just graduated seminary, young Baptist Preacher that was one of my men and he was shot down 13 times in 12 months and he never balked when offered ground duty or to continue flying. True faith is power.

Very good. Then I will not worry.

O yea. It takes Spiritual maturity to overcome anxiety.

i don't thnk so. the promises and kingdom and knowledge of salvation and righteousness, peace and joy, are all given at the moment a person is born again, especially specifically to 'babes' as Yeshua thanked and praised Abba openly for. this is shown i reckon in acts and other letters of the emissaries to the ekklesia as well as in Yeshua's Own Words in the Gospels.

I have sinned while not under duress and been forgiven ...
AMEN, myself! And follower, yes, it is all given at the very instant of salvation but then we, everyone of us still carry the dead man, strapped to our backs and only with maturity do we learn to displace the corrupted influence and cease to quench the Spirt.
