[__ Prayer __] Sleep schedule.

Pray I can get on a healthy and consistent sleep schedule. I'm never getting to bed at descent times, and I'm always pissing myself off 'cos I waste time.

I'm not looking forward to my work schedule soon to change from day work (6:30 am-3 pm) to night work (3-11:30 pm).

If it weren't for the bondage of illusory abstract commerce...

Prayers for your adaptation to night work, my friend. I know various people who work nights, and many of them wouldn't change their hours at all. Prayerfully, you'll adapt and enjoy the new hours.

Be sure to add room darkening curtains/draperies to your bedroom windows so you'll be able to sleep during the day.

Sleep in the now, not in the today.

But, my friend, that's exactly how I learned to "sleep when the getting is good".
And that lesson serves me still this day as a retired old guy.

Do I wanna stay up all night and then meet my 30 year old son for a day of fun with his kids, my grands?

Sure I do. That's okay. And I know that it takes me two days to hit my recovery need. Day one -- > sleep no more... Day two -- > Sleep and nap - at least 2 hours each nap, nap when you wanna. Day three? (don't count the first day, day three is the 2nd day of recovery. Day one was the day of no sleepy 4 me) That's the sleep deprived recovery planned 2 sleepy die-to-the-world, and sleep sound time.

♪♫ La, la, la... It all works, but not if you don't try stuff. :biggrin

Here's a story, sleepyhead you: When I worked the early morning shift for Marriott-in-Flight we had to get up early and then prep the food for them planes that would start taking off soooo soon... and we were under the gun, special meals? There's very little time and it's go, go, go... or it was, I don't work there for a long, long time... but that means I need to start at 4:00 AM (in the morning, what? Huh? Sleepy me? --YEAH YOU, says the voice from on high, my boss, the guy who pays my checks)

So I dredge myself up out of a sound sleep and almost stagger to the bathroom, scrape my face, put on my uniform (yeah, we had to wear uniforms too -- > Airlines were offshoot from military, and when I stopped for gas? We had red coats and little bars on our white shirts, so people would want to hand me money and say, "fill 'er up" but I would politely decline, but I was tempted to take the money and run... but back from my side-track, I would have to get ready for my 4:00 AM work start time...

And so I'd arrive early and fix a pot, yep, a whole pot o' coffee and sludge it down as I was still waking up... then the whistle would blow (figuratively, we had to punch a time clock) and we'd punch it out. Boom! Slam them meals. You can do it, ra-ra-ra... shish-koom-ba!

But the end of it? Yes, I learned how to manage my sleep. It serves me well. Well, well enough for my use, that is. Which now-a-days? means I get to nap when I want and I get to study when I want and it's only Grandkids and school (lifetime learner) that wakes me. No alarm clock needed. Auto wake every day. Strangely when I turn and look at the alarm clock that I don't use? It says "6:38 am" more often than not.

Funny how that works, right? :sleep
