snakes

Just like sickness, don't allow Satan in your home: I mean snakes. Next thing I know you'll be telling me you went to a dentist to get a Lamborghini; wait, that's another thread. :)
Hater snakes aren't evil.

As long as critters stay outside, and off the porch furniture, we get along just fine.

I have no issues with snakes, unless poisonious.I have forced them away but not kill, unless poisonious.why? They keep the rodents away that come from unmaintained lots.

I was fishing on the bank recently at the lake and had my minnow bucket tied to a string and in the water. When I reached down to pull up the bucket there was a good size cotton mouth about 2 feet away from my hand. I had startled it and it quickly swam away. I was fishing in the same spot till after dark and could see a snake swimming by about every 5 minutes. When I shined my flashlight out over the water I could see their eyes. One of them had a head that was about 6 inches long.

One day I wouldn't mind owning a pet snake. I actually like them. The nature center at the state park used to have some small snakes they'd let students hold during nature classes.

I like snakes too. I had a ball python one time but it died the day after I fed it for the first time. I like reptiles as pets but, prefer lizards instead because snakes require you to drive to the pet store to buy live mice. That can get expensive with the food and gas it takes to upkeep the snake.

We used to live right by a small river in ohio, and down at the swimming hole we were having a good time... Then both my brothers jumped out of the water and began yelling at me...if I could just make out what it is they're saying...??? Behind me?

So I looked behind me and it felt like lightning had struck me when I saw a cottonmouth (pretty sure) coming at me, mouth open...yikes, I swam fast that day.

I actually buy feeder mice to give to my dog or cat sometimes. Dead ones, in their case. (Yes, dogs can eat whole mice.)

Yeah, but he is a little picky. He would eat them at first, later on he started refusing them. My cat loves them, though.
