Not all of it. Much is metaphor. Stories with spiritual truth.

In a sense Christian faith is irrational though. We Christians are taking a gamble. A calculated risk you might say. We are putting all our faith in a book. (Catholics will add Church Fathers)
I will be honest that I have my doubts that Jesus really died to save our souls. But I will always have a grain of belief that it might be true. It is the greatest story ever told. The only myth that is true.

I don't put my faith in a book, the Bible. I put my faith in God. The Bible is only God's message to us through the writers.

Yet it seems to me that so many Christians equate the Bible with God.
