or not so much? I'm pre-trib, because I was saved by Pentecostals, and they seem to take the Bible at face value, which I appreciate.

We have: gay marriage, rampant debauchery, lovers of self, reckless and bold, materialism, hungry and poor people all over the place, persecution of Christians elsewhere and what seems to be increasing silencing of Christians in many developed nations.

Not to mention what seems to be going on in the church right now. Right now, the church as a whole seems to be slipping into apostasy, at least amongst the mainline denominations in the US. I was just reading about an SBC church in California that's decided that gay is OK. They're still in the sbc. Weird, huh?

There's also all the new age stuff in mainline denominations, and what I see as the overhaul of Jesus the savior in favor of Jesus the Counselor, the psycholog-ization of Christianity, to accommodate a culture that speaks the language of therapy and counseling, not sin and repentance.

What do you all think?>

I don't think in terms of the entire world-style end times.

Instead, I consider each day as if it was my last day on this earth. I try to be ready in the event that it is my last day. And the goal is to share with at least one person the love & grace of our amazing Lord... planting 'seeds' where possible. And of course, there are prayers said throughout the day, for people, specific situations, our elected officials, and the world in general.

Since the fall of Adam & Eve, this world has had problems which have spread far and wide as mankind has broadened its horizons beyond Eden. With the immediate nature of the news, we hear of more and more troubles, both major and small.

So live each day as though it was the last, one can't go wrong with that advice.

2 Timothy 3:1-4 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

What do you think?

I think we're living on borrowed time as it is. God in his mercy has pushed back His own clock, hoping a few more souls get saved, but He can't keep postponing forever (can't, won't, you know how I mean). The other side of the coin is people who would have been saved, but became recent prey to Satan's lies.

Personally, I am living my life under the basic premise that something Bilbical will happen literally any second now. I would love to be wrong, but not betting otherwise.

I use to be a pretrib person as I followed all those pretrib teachings taking them at face value, but not anymore as Christ said that those who endure until the end are those who will be saved. The end of what means the end of all abominations that cause desolation in our lives as in all the tribulations listed in Matthew 24:1-31 as they increase daily, but the end is not yet until that of vs.29-31 which happens right after that of Rev 11:11-18 up to Rev 14:14-20 and when all things are finished then that of the New heaven and New Jerusalem will be ushered down and we will be with the Lord forever.

Rev_18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

I think all Christians can agree that there will be #1 A great tribulation #2 That Christ will return #3 there will be a rapture.
Everyone has a different idea on when this will happen.Scripture does not teach one view over the other. That is why there is a wide diversity of opinion. We are living in very evil and troubled times.Just look around you and read the news if you have the heart to do so.I think we can debate our different views but I do think we need to do this with kindness and respect towards each other. We are Christians brother and sisters and we need to show this love to one another.
