So, the holidays are over...

....the decorations are (mostly) down, the hustle and bustle shopping days of Christmas are over, and for a lot of people, its back to the daily grind...

...how were your holidays? Do you like the holiday season?

For me, holiday breaks become a time to laze around, once the preparations are done....and when they are over I have a hard time getting my butt back in gear.

So it's a love/hate relationship. Love it before and during, hate it once it's over.

They were super great! I love the Christmas Holidays, they're my favorite time of the year. I start wishing my family/friends Merry Christmas as early as I can, because I want to get in the Christmas spirit as soon as I can. It all starts for me in October and runs through all of December. I love Thanksgiving .. then comes Halloween and I like that too 'cause my wife loves to sit on the porch in her witch's hat and pass out candy and hugs to the neighborhood children while I sit on the front porch talking to the waiting parents. Then cometh Christmas and that's my very favorite part .. lots of beautiful church Christmas plays .. lots of shopping at the bright cheerful malls while they're playing Christmas music .. lots of good cheer and positive up-lifting constructive elements happening between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31st.

The wife and I have even started decorating our front porch in October with what we call Thanksgiving decorations. Our children and grandchildren seem to enjoy our beautiful Fall flowers, pumpkins, and wreaths. We don't go as far as the folks did in that pic down there, but we get as close as we can to it .. lol ..

you just KNOW there is a great pumpkin pie on the other side of that door
