So, who is ready for fall?

Ehhh, heat is over rated anyway lol!
Time to start working on it. I'll post a picture once completed.
I ran a new gas line and installed the chimney insert two weeks ago, so hopefully this will go relatively quick.

Haha, I like heat, but not too much of it at once =P

Hopefully it all works fine and dandy!

I love fall and winter. There is a smell in the air once the weather turns cool. Probably decaying leaves.
I am 65 but still really enjoy "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!".
Especially if I am watching it with grandkids.
It gets dark early and I get to read more. Farm stuff slows down and bringing in firewood is a pleasant chore.
We grow enough pumpkins for our extended family. And gourds.

Growing pumpkins sounds fun! I have been meaning to try one or two, but I keep forgetting how early they need to be started lol.

Fall is nice =) I am glad you are enjoying it!

No picture.... Means project still in progress!
I bought a new programmable thermostat which i think will be more efficient and i spent at least an hour trying to put the thermostat wire down the wall through the attic without success. The wire is just gonna have to be tacked neatly at the corner of the wall and floor, then up the moulding where the thermostat will mount.

Once that done, then i have to dial in the flame.

My son bought us skydiving tickets and we were supposed to jump a few weeks ago on Friday the 13th but it keeps getting postponed due to weather. We were supposed to jump at 3 today, but they are calling for rain :-(

Fall is my favorite season with the cooler temps and the colors of the leafs. This year the colors will not be so bright as since the weather here in PA is still in the 70's and 80's we haven't had that cold snap that makes the leafs so brilliant in color. They're just turning brown and dying off.

Been trying to work on trimming all the bushes before winter hits so the blooms in the spring will be really nice looking. Hubby bought me a hedge trimmer to make it easier on me as with my disabilities I can only do so much at a time before I start hurting. Hubby has been busy cutting wood and stocking the basement for winter as we only heat with a wood burner. I do the trimming as I enjoy it and since I want it done a certain way I take charge of that chore.

Also getting my fall cleaning done inside scrubbing walls and windows. All my family is home together for the first time in 20 years as there are eight of us with three living out of state. We are having an early Thanksgiving today with our Mother since we are all together and will probably be the last time. There is usually around 30 of us so we rent out the Community Hall as no one has a house big enough to hold all of us.

If we could skip from fall to summer I would be a happy camper. We are suppose to have a really cold winter this year and not looking forward to that. I love the snow...........for about one day then it can go away, LOL.

Haha, I loved how you called your excitement "the sillies" lol.

Hehe. :wink

Aww,.. I'm really sorry to hear that. :hugI'll be crossing my fingers for you that it'll change. :crossed

I love autumn and the cooler weather but I'm not a huge fan of falling acorns. Right now I have my witch's hat to protect me from them and before that I had an umbrella. :) Also I'm not a huge fan of winter but I do love Christmas. If we could go from Christmas to spring, that's when I would be a happy camper! The only thing that would make it better is if I could actually go camping for real then. :lol

Thermostats can be tricky if the wiring won't cooperate, but definitely more efficient!

Wow! Skydiving! I don't have the guts for that lol! Sorry to hear it keeps getting postponed. Hopefully soon the weather will be good enough.

Sounds like a busy season for you! Fall colors on trees must be super pretty to see (I wouldn't know with all of our desert weed trees out here). Sorry to hear it isn't happening like it usually does.

I am hearing this winter is going to get really cold, too. Last year we got snow, which is rare for us - especially snow that sticks to the ground for a few days. The last time I remembered snow like that was about 17 years ago. My little one kept praying for snow and it kept coming =P she hopes for snow again this year. That might be a stretch, but we will see.

I'm beginning to think God might be trying to tell you something :shrug, Hopefully it works out for you and your son as I know I would have loved to do that back in the day.

I remember back in the early 80's I lived in San Antonio, TX and we had a freak snow storm that dumped 13 inches. I worked at the airport and being I'm a Northern girl use to the snow I went to work thinking nothing about it other than the roads weren't plowed. When I got there the airport was shut down and they sent me home. The city had to go out and buy some snowplows. I like the first snow fall and the Christmas snow if we get any, other than that it can go away.

Wow! No kidding? That's crazy! Yes, us desert people don't handle snow well haha! The snow and even rain sometimes throw us off!

Well, at least you had the day off. Hopefully that day was a pleasant one for you.

The first official day of fall was Monday, I believe. The weather is already noticeably cooler, though. I hope it stays this way for a while! Not sure if I am ready for the holidays, though.

How is fall treating you all so far?
Fall? Here today in N.C it was 94%.

Looking forward to the cooler weather, I love Fall.
Been too hot to have campfires!
I can't wait to make chicken stew , s'mores, pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread etc.

We usually have a pumpkin carving contest, when I fix my stew.
Play Bingo for surprises. So my She Shed will come in handy, lol.

I usually get the kits, they have some good stuff.
The Grandkids usually carve a unicorn, or Peppa Pig..whatever they are into now.

Hope Fall is treating you well so far.:thumb

I am honestly surprised it is cooling down this much already. Not sure it will hike back up to the 90s. Our first cold cold day is usually Halloween night, but it ia much earlier this year.

I hope fall finds ya soon! =D So much to look forward to!

Thanks! Fall is good so far!

Sounds like a plan, but what do you mean winterize the camper?
