Soaking Prayer - Biblical or New Age?

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
1 Corinthians
12:3

I know Jesus Christ is my Lord.

for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
Ephesians 2:8 says no work can save us. Only Christ can.

Yeshua said those that believe shall never perish, and shall never be lost; for it is Yeshua who is the bread and water of life. Anyone who believes in him shall have a fountain within them springing up into ever lasting life.

Blessed be our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise and glory be to the King of kings and Lord of lords who has made us no longer servants but heirs of God.

Salvation is his name. By no other name are we saved.

I'm am absolutely assured of my salvation. I will not submit to your endeavors of causing doubt. Only to Christ do I submit.

The grace of Christ be with you.

I'm only trying to show that coming to Christ does not always involve searching the scriptures.

I'm sure you are saved.

I was referring to the ones you were referring to.

They may very well be trying to come to Him.

I wasn't questioning your salvation, only pointing to the fact and scripture Jesus taught us from John.

Alright, now what are your thoughts on contemplative prayer, and how does it differ?

How about meditating on the scriptures?

Or

Meditating on God?

Do you think that is New Age?

Depends on what you mean. There are two different types of meditation. One type of meditation is leading people astray by making them think that Christianity is a copy of other religions.

One is looking in oneself, emptying one's mind, and making meaningless repetitions. That would be new age. My brother has left God for science and practices transcendental meditation. He tells me ridiculous things such as: transcendental meditation has been used by all religions, and that each religion has their own "mantra". No. That's new age. (Rather old age if you want to get technical. Nimrod>Babylon>Babylonian religions such as Hinduism>eastern mysticism>rosicrucianism>masonry>Illuminati>Theosophy>New Age regurgitations)

While the other type is thinking on scripture, keeping the words of God as a treasure in the heart, and letting it flourish within you thinking on application.

Confused, what types are anti-Trinitarian?

This is Pentecostal Holiness beliefs as listed by that denomination.

I'm not sure what you are asking?
ok, I thought you were praying for the teens to be freed from a cult, but I was wrong. that church is most Trinitarian. the apostle creed! why that is a most catholic thing. lol, a bunch of heretics.

I mean meditating on the scriptures.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8

My eyes are awake through the night watches, That I may meditate on Your word. Psalm 119:148

Meditating on the precepts and ways of God.

I will meditate on Your precepts, And contemplate Your ways. Psalm 119:15

Make me understand the way of Your precepts; So shall I meditate on Your wondrous works. Psalm 119:27

My hands also I will lift up to Your commandments, Which I love, And I will meditate on Your statutes. Psalm 119:48

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works. Psalms 145:5

Meditate on His Name

Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, And the Lord listened and heard them; So a book of remembrance was written before Him For those who fear the Lord And who meditate on His name.
Malachi 3:16

Paul seems to have a prescription for success: Meditate on the things you have been given to accomplish, and then give yourself entirely to them

14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you. 1 Timothy 4:14-16

To Meditate or to Contemplate is a practice that is a powerful biblical principal that needs to be taught and restored to God's people.
