Some Have Entertained Angels Unawares...

Good Morning, my Brothers and Sisters!

Hebrews 13:2
2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.../(KJV)

Hebrews 13 is just chock full of advice how to live on this earth, but this verse kind of jumped out at me and made me start thinking. This is saying that Angels are routinely walking the earth in disguise. I think most of yoiu know that an Angel came to my garage sale to help me before an hour and a half after I prayed for help when I was in a tight spot. Even though he didn't act like any man or garage sale customer....(he kept asking, how much do you need? Then finally, how much for everything on that table over there? How about 1900? (I thought these was odd things for a garage sale customer to say, but I wasn't putting it together. I knew something was sounding odd, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I wondered if if maybe he was some sort of flea market dealer looking to stock up a little or something, so I didn't answer him...) then he says ok how about 2400 for everything on that table?...Now that is not how men act, garage sale people, they just don't. they try to talk you down, will you take a buck for that, is the norm.

But I was Unawares, like the scripture says. I think I weas probably being restrained from being able to perceive that he was an Angel, while he was there. It wasnt until after he left and I was walking back downstairs into the family room, that I put my hand into my pocket and felt the wad of cash (2400) and said, Praise the Lord...and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. I had prayed and asked for help from our Lord, and He did answer me. He sent an Angel in disguise who paid me more than the stuff cost new. Nothing else can really explain it. it had to be an Angel, nothing else makes sense. Within two hours of praying for help, I had the amount that I needed. 2 months rent (1000 per month) and 300 for the electric shut off notice (for this monday, and it was Saturday today!, and an extra 100 nucks for food. It was perfect amount. But I digreess,

Why did he keep saying how much do you need? When he knew that my perception was being blocked and if I had known he was an Angel asking how much do you need, I probably would have asked for too much, lol. It was like I couldn't even think when we was talking. Everything he said was odd and made my mind race, I couldn't answer his questions very well and I didn't know why, until after he left. Ok, so there's other examples n scripture also, where Angels and even Jesus was in disguise. Appeared in a different form to hide their true identity, at least for a little while. Remember Jesus walking with them on the road to Emmaus, after He was resurrected? They didn't recognize Him. Mary didn't recognize Him by the tomb, she thought He was the Gardner, until He spoke her name at least, lol. Right?

The thing is, i have heard several testimonies on youtube where people, now, in these days are having Jesus show up to them also in a different form where He is not easily recognizable. In one of the testimonies I watched, the man recounted one day he was at a car dealership or something like that, and a real big guy who looked slightly unkempt and a little intimidating perhaps, was there and suddenly spoke to him in a big booming voice kinda loud and unsettling to him and said something about So what do you think about the church situation now and how they are (pretty much corrupted, or something like that, I forget exactly. He said that to the man, and the man (had been praying to be able to meet Jesus)...but he got intimidated and looked at the outside instead of the inside, like he is supposed to do, and he thought, well this guy must be some nut...and he left, thereby missing his visitation from our Lord! The Lord revealed it to Him later that...He came and you missed me because you didn't recognize me...Why do you continue to look to the outside? (Jesus was teaching him something. And the man was very convicted and disappointed in himself for having missed the Lord's visitation. So He asked forgiveness and asked if the lord would give him another chance...and the Lord said yes.

OI keep running across those types of testimonies. Not everyone misses Him. Those testimonies sound very much like how Jesus did that and it is given to us in scripture as an example. Jesus likes appearing in different forms to people. So it makes these testimonies sound very credible and believable to me. I thought that sounded very cool,so I started praying that he would visit me.. Ididn't for Him to come in disguise! But I think that maybe He did come to me one night and I missed Him. It was last winter. It was cold cold out and we had lots of snow here I remember. I couldn't sleep and was up. I went downstairs to get a drink and stuff. and then someone knocked on the door in the middle of the night. It was like 3 am or so. I went, whoa, and went and got my pistol. Then they knocked again, and I peeked out the window from above him on the stairway inside and I could see someone there, he never looked up, just stood there for a few...while I chickened out answering the door. Then he left and closed the gate and walked up the street. I watched him for quite a ways until I couldn't see him anymore. It occurred to me after he was gone, that, that could have been Jesus. I remembered hat scripture, Behold I stand at the door and knock, and if any man open the door, I will come in unto him...and man, I sure felt bad then. I didn't open the door. If it was Him, I missed it, and if it wasn't Him...I was armed to the teeth and could have handled it. It might not have been Jesus, I know. But...it could have been. Jesus does these things. It's in scriptures, it's in present day testimonies from people, and I had prayed for it too. He's answered my prayers before. So I asked forgiveness and asked for another chance. That was a little while back...and I think He might have came again, and I missed Him again recently.

Maybe I'll recount that one later. Have any of you Brothers and Sisters ever heard of such a thing happening? Or had it happen to you? Do you think my imagination is running overtime? Lol...

We definitely entertain angels unaware as I have in the past.

This happened when we lived in town on the main street. I'm a pretty friendly person and say hello to many people that pass by me. This particular day I was sitting on the steps of the porch and a guy walked by. He was dressed kinda shabby and had a back pack on his back. He said hello as he walked by and of course I said hi and he stopped for a while and talked with me sharing his story about his travels. I noticed he had a Bible sticking out of his pack and that led us to a conversation about Jesus. We shared for awhile as I was waiting for my husband to come home from work.

He also told me how he bathed in the rivers or streams that he came across and washed his clothes there. He said one of the things he missed the most being homeless was a good hot shower. He was about to leave and I asked him if he wanted to use our shower and I would wash his clothes for him while he showed. He was most grateful and at first asked me if I really would allow him to do that. There was just something about his eyes that I knew I could trust him so he accepted and while he was showing my husband came home and I told him the story. My husband invited him to supper and he accepted a good hot meal. Before he was going to leave I gave him some things for his travels and gave him some money.

He was so amazed a stranger would take him in. He was getting ready to leave and I invited him to go to a revival service we were having that night and he accepted to go with us so we left after supper. When we got there I was going to introduce him to the Pastor, but when I turned around it was like he disappeared. It wasn't even a minute from talking to him and to introduce him. Where we were was an opened park in the middle of town and you would see someone walking away from you, but he just completely vanished and I knew at that moment I entertained an angel unaware.

About a year later this same man walked by my porch again which I thought was odd, but he said he wanted to return to thank my husband and I for our generosity. I asked him to come in, but he said he had to be on his way so I prayed with him for his travels and never saw him again. This is something I will never forget.

I love reading about angels! That verse is so unique and I love it! I know many people have stories that cannot be explained logically and it is often a question if an angel was involved. They can look like anyone else.

I remember one time my husband and I paid for a reservation at a local park for the day. We had water bottles, tracts, our Bibles, and wanted to have a testimony sharing. We planned to reach others with Jesus. We did not have a big banner or anything to draw the eye. I thought I had advertised it publicly on Facebook the event, but when I got home I got a popup telling me I had noy made public yet and "click here" to make ot public.

There were 4 visitors that day. The first one made me wonder. She stopped her car, got out, and said loudly, "When does it start?" Right after we got the water bottles and everything out of the car. We did not expect someone so early. She told her testimony and asked where we were on our walk with God, what ministry we were planning to so in town, and she started to help us. My husband and I were still a bit shy about reaching others with the word. There was a man that walked by with his dog and the woman said, "Good morning! How can we pray for you today?" The man said, "There isn't anything." She said, "Sir, surely there must be something." He said, "No thanks, I already had my Sunday morning church service today." She asked, "Where do you attend?" He started talking and she listened and said, "Sir, are you sure there isn't anything we can pray about for you today?" In this small town, I had never met her before and I have not seen her since. She was far more bold than we ever were.

We did not know how she knew what time we started, how she knew what was going on without any form of advertisement, etc. We were in the middle of the park, you couldn't tell there was any type of event going on from the street. We had wondered if maybe she was an angel.

Either way, they are definitely around us!

When he walked away, my husband and I saw him walking, we looked at each other for a only a short moment, and looked back where the man was and he was gone.

Maybe we got visited by 2 angels that day =P

Usually around the holidays we see those who stand at the entrance of the mall with their signs and they are dressed in fairly nice clean clothes and even brand named shoes that show no signs of being worn down. It makes me wonder if they are really hard up or just to lazy to work. The reason I say this is because if you look over their shoulder you see signs where almost everyone is hiring this time of year. Even restaurants give you uniforms to wear.

But on the other hand you can see the desperation on the faces of those who are truly in need of help. Charity always needs to be one of our greatest priorities as our heart needs to reach out to those who need our help.

These testimonies in this thread are very cool. God has a lot of Angels! They're prolly all very busy in these times. Can you imagine how much stuff is going on in this world, that we can not see, behind the scenes? These are just a few testimonies. The Kingdom of God is all around us, spread out upon the earth, and we can't see it. Our real home if we can but perceive it. It has to be taken in faith and received without letting our carnal logical mind talk us out of believing and receiving it. No, that wasn't a coincidence,lol!

We're like, really living in the matrix. And there's a lot of evil "agents" around too. And Jesus, is really "The One" !!:yes
