So I just realized that these verses are missing on the NIV:
ACTS 8:37,JOHN 5:4, LUKE 17:36, 23:17, MARK 7:16,9:44, 9:46, MATTHEW 17:21 ETC

And also on the NKJV 'Born from above' vs 'Born Again'

Check your footnotes.

When translating from one language to another, it is rare that you can translate word for word. Even within the English speaking countries, things don't always translate. There are a number of words that mean different things depending on whether one is speaking to a Brit or an American for example. There are even words here in the US that have different meanings depending on where you are. There are also times when words take on new meanings over the years.

That's why the Bible translations rely on a team to do the work rather than just one person. Give 10 people the task of translating just one verse from the original transcripts and you're likely to get up to 10 different results even if there was only one transcript they all referenced.

From NIV
Acts 8:37 Some manuscripts include here Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” The eunuch answered, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”

John 5:4 Some manuscripts include here, wholly or in part, paralyzed—and they waited for the moving of the waters. 4 From time to time an angel of the Lord would come down and stir up the waters. The first one into the pool after each such disturbance would be cured of whatever disease they had.

Luke 17:36 Some manuscripts include here words similar to Matt. 24:40.

Luke 23:17 Some manuscripts include here words similar to Matt. 27:15 and Mark 15:6.

Mark 7:16 Some manuscripts include here the words of 4:23.

Mark 9:44 Some manuscripts include here the words of verse 48.

Mark 9:46 Some manuscripts include here the words of verse 48.

Matthew 17:21 Some manuscripts include here words similar to Mark 9:29.
