Today I was relayed some information, a prayer request, about someone who was at the church I used to attend. This person was a girl, I believe she would be about 14 or 15 now. I won't talk about this girl's overall situation, I know what it is and a couple of years ago I did request prayer for her on this site. I will say that she is suicidal and apparently has been cutting.
This breaks my heart, she doesn't deserve the life she has.

Father, in the Mighty Name of Jesus i thank You for questdriven's request. I thank You that no weapon formed against this young girl will prosper, and i thank You for your supernatural protection of psalm 91 over her life. I thank You for intervening in her life and sending Your arms of comfort to her. I thank You for bringing a loborer across her path with Your Words of Love and peace, someone that she will listen to, and feel safe to confide in. This little one is one of Your own and we know that You love her, and that it brings tears to Your eyes knowing that she hurts so much, and the only way to let it out, and recognize it is to cut. Father i thank You for speaking directly to her, reminding her that You love her and are there for her. Thank You Father for healing this young girl's emotions! For You are her shepherd, and You love her!
In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen

Your friend and her situation are in my prayers, questdriven . It is really sad, what she has experienced these years' past and present.

Any updates?
Not really. Based on what I know and have been told, it sounds like she is stuck where she is so long as she remains a minor. People with resources and ability far better than mine are involved in her situation, but it doesn't seem like there's a lot they can do overall.

Yes prayer is needed, but there is more to it than that, I served on a Crisis Telephone Hotline and this is what they taught us.

First and foremost, if we are hearing about the person that is suicidal that means they are reaching out for attention, someone that will listen to them, someone that will emphasize with them, ......because truly suicidal people don't talk about it, they do it, ...in private without anyone around to stop them.

So we assess the situation by talking to them, listening and asking questions, that way we now where they are in the planning of their suicide.
A. Do they have a plan or method to accomplish the suicide?
B. Have they been or are they just beginning to give away personal items of sentimental value, ...that will help us to know how serious is the threat.
C. From listening to them is there any "hook" we can use to cause them to want to live, i.e., family, friends, pets, dreams, unaccomplished desires, we learn what the "hook" could be from listening to them.
D. After finding the "hook" we talk them in to how to implement it in their lives, gives them a goal to strive for and takes their mind off of suicide.
E. Learn what are their spiritual resources, church, pastor, spiritual friend that knows the Word, family, siblings, anyone they trust that they can talk to and possibly stay with for a while until they are more stable.

All of the time we are listening to them we ask questions only when we don't understand what they are saying, through good listening skills we can learn a lot about their lives because they want to talk and we are listening.

Here is the key to ALL mental problems that we need to lead the people to see,

A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: Psa 23:1-3

Do you see what David said about his mental problems,

He restoreth my soul:

Jesus is the great Physican and He is the ONLY one that can heal our souls, you say you know her from church, ...is Jesus her Shepherd?

If so she can and will be healed by Him, if not then you might be the one that the Lord will use to lead her to Jesus.

Praying and blessings.

I don't want to give anymore details on the public forums, nor do I admittedly know much about what's been going on with her since I last saw her, but she is in a very difficult situation, which she is stuck in and cannot be taken out of. (Otherwise I am sure she would have been.)
I have not seen her face to face since I stopped going to that church. I have attempted to reach out to her, but was told she is not staying at home right now and won't be for quite some time. I have no way of knowing if where she is currently staying is helpful or detrimental to her, but given recent developments, maybe it woke her family up a bit.

I know it's hard quest, but don't give up hope. If you truly believe that Jesus loves her and wants to see her well then keep praying for her and lifting her up to the Father. He can protect her where ever she is and goes. And as you pray for her, interceeding on her behalf you can make a difference on your knees on her behalf.
Love in Christ

Praying for this girl, and also that if there is anything that you personally can do to help her, that God will show you the way. And that God will send to her someone who can make a difference in her life. And for her family, that they may be changed by God into the family that she needs.
