Hello, so I was watching this sermon (or listening in the car rather) and the pastor told this story and it was funny. Based on John 8:11 and the slogan "Repent and sin no more" the sermon was about overcoming backsliding in the faith.
Now for the story:
"There was a catholic priest who hired a painter to paint the church since it was time for some maintenance. So the painter was hired but he only brought a little bit of paint, way too little to do the whole church. So the painter got some paint thinner, and went to work, when he was close to running out he kept using more and more paint thinner. Eventually he successfully painted the whole church, but the next day a storm came and wiped all the paint off the church. So the priest brought the painter back with intentions to make him redo the job again. When the painter arrived and saw the rain completely washed off all the paint of the church, the priest then told him, "Now, Repaint, and thin no more!"
