Bible Study Something That Has Always Bothered Me

As I stated before last night, I realize that it was part of his mother's (and God's) plan for him that he would live and be safe. But what happened when his sister had to eat, sleep, and relieve herself? Who was watching the baby then? I think that it brings up a rather interesting question.
it is interesting the number of people (liars) that Claim the name of Yashua (Jesus) for their own and then deny the first premise or relying on His power, the ability of Him to save and to keep them. Some even doubt His ability to keep them from the grasp of Satan on any level and feel they must do this or do that to help YHWH and His Son to complete the most basic of tasks. Moses was either not meant to survive or he was meant to live for a hundred and twenty years or so and if meant to live, as he was, his Elohim would not allowv harm to befall him.

YHWH had chosen Mosheh a.k.a. Moses and nothing can change that. Some will not appreciate my onesty and bluntness here but the truth is often correct as God sees it and rude as man chooses to see it. Mosheh was the Tool YHWH had chosen.

Now, we can choose to be His tools or we can spend eternity in the Lake of Fire. That is a very simple truth but it has been chosen, by the World controlled by the Devil, to be regarded as rude to say. The truth is never rude except it is spit out at a person.

Mosheh was never of this world but from thousands of years, possibly, he was known to YHWH, Yashua Ha'mashiach and Ruach for exactly what we know he did all those thousands of years ago. He was never in any danger. None of us that belong to Our Saviour are in any danger of loosing our lives prematurely. If Mosheh, as an infant had been eaten by a Crock, that would have the plan of our Redeemer and it could not have been changed.

Our problem and the reason some become upset with me is the lack of the Faith that Saves. We want everything to be civil and mushy sweet but truth is not like that. When I met my close friend Edgar Paul Hienen, it was a good day that grew into one of the best days of my life.

But real life is very, very harsh and rude. Because I was the only man that made it to our bunker in the early morning with a flash-light and the fact that I was a close friend with Paul, the Staff Sergeant in our siege position sent me out to find him and get him into the Bunker before the anticipated attempt to overrun us.

I found Paul but he would never draw another breath after that day, 3 Nov, 1966. It sounds cruel and it was but then Paul never hurt again, he was at peace. The Scriptures are full of truth, good and awful.

Many, many, calling on the name of the Christ deny the Bible Jesus taught from because the reality of Life is exposed there and without those 39 books, the New Testament looses it's intended depth. Without the first thirty-nine books of the Christian Version of YHWH's Word the latter 27 can be and often are, today, corkscrewed into new meanings that do not glorify God because YHWH is presented but not all of Him is revealed leaving many, far to many to believe a god of love will never do this or do that, it is not the truth!
Zephaniah 1:14-15 Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

14 Near [is] the great day of Jehovah, Near, and hasting exceedingly, The noise of the day of Jehovah, Bitterly shriek there doth a mighty one.

15 A day of wrath [is] that day, A day of adversity and distress, A day of waste and desolation, A day of darkness and gloominess, A day of cloud and thick darkness.
use thev are not true.

YHWH is the God of Love but He is also a Jealous God and full of Holy Wrath;

Our Elohim will send sinners into the Lake of Fire for Eternity and has already parked them in Sheol until the Final, commonly known as the Second Resurrection and the destruction of the Earth with fire.

He does not the things because He does not love the sinner, indeed not! YHWH has given every Being that is, ever has and ever will live on this planet a choice; to live Him or to live without Him. God knew the names of every Being that would, down through time, accept Him and of those that would deny Him and by that cation, choosing to never worship nor to live with Him. He does not force anyone to be saved nor does He force them into the Lake of Fire.

Is this supposed to be directed at me for asking a simple question? Are you denying my faith?

As I stated before last night, I realize that it was part of his mother's (and God's) plan for him that he would live and be safe. But what happened when his sister had to eat, sleep, and relieve herself? Who was watching the baby then? I think that it brings up a rather interesting question.

Not only that but the Sister, from the bank of the Nile, would've been able to do precisely NOTHING if a crocodile decided to have a little Moses snack. Good catch, you're thinking clearly!

Everything about this whole scene is starkly out of place, and that is deliberate. This is also similar to why God chose Moses: he saw the burning bush and stepped aside to notice. Most people would just walk past and think nothing of it. God wanted this property in His chosen. Likewise, you are "stepping aside to notice" this quirky little detail. Very unsettling, isn't it?

We can call what happened there "stepping outside our comfort zone." Moses' Mom did that; out of desperation yes, but it also took FAITH! It is a good visible representation of what Faith is. Hearing it is how Faith comes to us...

I'm on my way to bed for the night. However before I say my prayers and go to sleep, I was just thinking about watching The Prince of Egypt and there has always been something that has bugged me about the whole entire story of Moses. I realize that his mother was only trying to save his life (and did so in the end) but isn't sending a poor defenseless baby out into the water pushing it just a bit? I mean what if he drowned or got eaten by a crocodile. (they were already eating babies anyway) I mean I know the Bible said that she fixed the basket so it wouldn't leak but what if she made a mistake?

Edit; I just discovered that his sister kept watch but she couldn't possibly stay standing there every waking moment. And I think the Bible mentioned Moses nursing on his own biological mother but I can't find the actual verses. Is this the only time he saw her?
This is why you might consider reading the Bible rather than depending upon Disney movies to teach you theology. It never happened the way you just related.

I'm not so sure Willie. It spurs questions that are leading her to the bible stories, and that's a good thing and I think reba rebaspotted it first. We would all do well to take her lead.

I think being concerned for a child's life should be something that causes us to pause and when it affords us to show the faith others experienced in their trials, it can help us to get through our own trials. Often, this aspect of faith is overlooked, and we simply put the ancients in such a high realm, their faith seems unobtainable. And that's a dangerous view imho.

Our faith is a reflection on how we think, and act. Feelings and emotions can cause us to loose our faith, and depend on our own understanding because the fear of hurting another that is close to us can be so strong. We don't do things Gods way because we don't trust God enough to trust him with the ones that are closest to us, and especially an infant.

Imagine for a moment the faith it took for the mother of Moses to put him in that basket. The dangers were real. Her fears were real. She had to trust God with her beloved child. And she did.

It reminds me of how my faith lacks at times. I want to protect the ones that I'm close to, but because my faith is weak and I don't want to risk the loss, I do it my way, and not Gods way. It always ends up worse...

There is a great lesson to be learned here.

exactly disney over the years has put out some good shows.. they are tuning even more liberal. even some of the so called shows about bible events are not true

Not to mention I just finished reading this story in Exodus and that's the whole entire reason I was thinking about watching this movie. :tongue (that's for Willie not you he hates the fact I love Disney movies ah well,.. who cares what he thinks anyway? I've learned not to let the little things bother me :))

I did not deny any specific person's faith bhecause I am not the Judge but I did point out the truth. You are still young and developping your faith. I do not know your age and have no way of recconning you position in relation to the age of responsibikity. You might well be below that point, I cannot know.

I'm 28 but have the mind of a teenager really since I am mentally challenged. And below what point exactly?

milk before meat my friend. If we're not grounded in the milk, we will choke on the meat.

As i said, i say again, i have no way of knowing if you have reached the Age of responsibility. Some reach that age before they are 12, some not until past thirty and some, the sevier mentally handicapped, IMO, never reach that age because I have come to understand, through Ruach Elohim I have learned the mental condition also is a factor.

The age of responsibility for what exactly?

you really should give your self more credit.. your 28 having a relationship with a boy friend serving time.. asked about legal advice... i simply do not see you as a teenager mind... your a young adult imo who has been held back and told this.. i think you have the ability to be a smart young lady . take you some type free online classes

Ok guys, let's get this back on topic. Please don't use this thread as a launch pad to jab at Disney, especially when Disney didn't produce the cartoon that spured her questions.

Her question wasn't about the age of accountability, it was about Moses being placed in a basket and put into the nile.

moses was placed in a basket into the edge of the nile among the weeds .yes anything could have happened but it didnt. it was all of God. what if adam and eve would have listened to God? he knew ahead of time they wouldnt listen.. they are pleny of children stories of the Bible that hold the truth you just have to search for them

A Children's Bible Story book is a wonderful resource ... The Message of Scripture comes through.. the word pictures of Christ just abound in them...
We can learn and understand obedience . The stories of Moses and Noah show faith... Some even show us Grace and God's jealousy ... They are good to read even if your not kid .
