Ken, I share your frustrations that Christians should be able to put their differences aside and worship in unity. And the truth is that we ARE one, we just don't act like it. It won't be until we are relieved of our sinful nature that the body of Christ will act as one. We have been removed from the bondage of sin, but we have to continually put down the old nature daily. This takes great maturity to do, and even the most mature Christian will not get it right all of the time. The problem is that the majority of Christians are not spiritually mature, some are seeking and growing but many are content with the bare minimum because they think it lessens their responsibility to the lost. So, I say that in a perfect world (which will one day come, praise the Lord) the body of Christ will act as one and not strive against it's members, but until then we should pray for our brothers and sisters to grow in Christ.
