If the primary author of this Post had understood this was going to be a novella a better approach would have been devised. Maybe a Table of Contents? A introductory preface or summary statement would probably do well. We are on a forum here on the internet where such things are often simply neglected.

The scope of this thread has rapidly exceeded me and what I once thought of as a conversation of many interested members of the Ecclesia has turned out to be a soliloquy.

Perhaps I should quit this with a brief synopsis of the Chapter? There are many, many sources online that surpass my efforts here with ease. I don't have a doctorate in Theology; if I were personally going to invest my efforts in reading (and digesting) such a work, that would be one of the expected requirements.

Pardon me. I do hope that readers open Pastor Jon's Sermon. He has more of his work uploaded to YouTube.

Song of songs, chapter 2

1. Shulamite's Desire for the King: The Shulamite woman expresses (to herself?) her desire for the King> She is brought into the king's palace where the harem (Daughters) praises Song of Solomon 1:2-4
2. Embarrassment: The Shulamite woman (is she Black or sun-burnt? Black, methinks) is embarrassed before Solomon's harem because her appearance showed that she had worked in the field Song of Solomon 1:5-6. Should we compare ourselves to others? It's only natural.
3. Meeting of Solomon & Shulamite: Solomon (Bridegroom) and the Shulamite woman (Bride) meet and are mutually attracted to each other. Compliments are exchanged between one another Song of Solomon 1:7-17
4. First Expressions of Love: Continuing to compliment one another, they express their love for one another, and Solomon exhorts the harem to let love develop naturally (3 Admonitions, Do not awaken love...) Song of Solomon 2:1-7
5. The Courtship Begins: Solomon and the Shulamite woman spend time together getting to know one another in order to build their relationship Song of Solomon 2:8-17
6. An Anxious Premonition: Near to her wedding day the Shulamite woman dreamed that she has been separated from her beloved, but upon finding him she led him to her mother's house (the house of marriage). When she awoke, she reminded herself to be patient Song of Solomon 3:1-5

Part of me wants to shout, "WAKE UP!" but we are constrained to remain quiet and at peace. Solomon's very name means 'peace'. In these tumultuous times the Church needs the active presence of her King of Kings. Fear not. He is and will remain here with us. It was He who shouted (often) "To all those who have an ear to hear, let them hear!" We are told, "Where two or more join, there also am I," and "Forsake not the joining of yourselves together, especially as you see the end approaching." If you are burdened overly? Pause. Quit. Quiet yourself. Calm yourself and look up expectantly. He sees and knows and will not tarry.

Why would one wait when this is what is so urgently needed? Maybe we could ask some of the saints when we see them. I'm thinking of these guys mentioned by Paul in Hebrews 11:35. They are our heroes. Zealots all.
