Sovereign God

"Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure" -Isaiah 46:9-10

"The Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will" -Dan. 4:32

Hmmmm, "So what does it really mean when we say God is Sovereign?"

My thoughts, and I may be wrong, but Proverbs 21:30 is worth pondering.

Be blessed, Stay blessed, and be Bold!

Be blessed, Stay blessed, and be Bold!

Proverbs 21.30 says: 'There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the Lord.'

Well, exactly!

Blessings.

We have the story of the world and humanity in over 1,000 pages, and that story is "God-breathed" (2 Tim. 3:16) or written by God, and about God (Genesis 3: 15 and Luke 24:27). So I would say he's in control of pretty much everything if this is true.

Job 38 and 39 are hilarious, but also great evidence of God's sovereignty over ALL things, big and small.

Navigator: Yes, some good considerations there about the way Scripture reveals God in all His greatness.

Good to see you around again; haven't seen you lately!

Blessings.
