Are there any scripture verses that explain speaking things into existence? How do you know if this is of the Lord or witchcraft?

Is it witchcraft to daydream or fantasize?

I am looking for scripture references.

To fix my financial situation, I have been encouraged to visualize cash in hand and look back step by step at how it is I got to the final step - getting paid. I am supposed to imagine a scenario where I have used my personal gifts and strengths to get to this point.

Also, speaking daily mantra's, like I am rich, and whatever else I want in my life.

When I speak a mantra, I try to keep it aligned with what I believe the Lord would want for me. But maybe I should be praying instead. Have I really been duped into practicing witchcraft?

Scripture references, please.
Like, Joshua told the sun to stand still and apparently, if there is a mountain, I can tell it to move in Jesus' name. Or as in Matthew 21:22
What is the difference between this and some Harry Potter type witchcraft? How do I know I am speaking in faith and not of my own will?

God spoke the world /universe into existence ... We are not God..
Yup you can ask the mountain to be removed.. by faith.. You woud not be asking these questions if Jesus Christ was Lord of your life..
got your self in a financial bind... ? Talk truth to your creditors and pay the bill..

wizards and witchcraft are not of the Lord

There are zero passages that say we can speak things into existence.

Also, faith is not something we think/feel then if we think/feel enough something happens. Faith is a direct belief of what God says.

So, when Jesus was talking about a mountain going into the sea, He was saying that if God told us and we believed it would happen.

You see this throughout the bible. Just lookup the word faith and read all around the passages. It's needful to take things in context.

So simply put, you know your speaking faith if you know God wants it. Faith will never go against what God wants.

This is a very interesting question, posted on this thread.
And ...the answer is exactly related to the way a person views themselves "in Christ", ...to the degree they relate, accept, and engage, the idea that we are Sons of God, "joint heirs" with Christ, seated in heavenly places in Christ, with Jesus inside us.... all THAT is going to determine how they view their authority as a believer with regards to manifesting in the physical realm what is available from God for them to use.
It is interesting that a believer, some, will believe they can manifest the MIRACULOUS 9 "gifts of the Spirit", but will refuse to believe they can speak their faith as words into God's ear to create by Him, changed circumstances in the physical realm.
Saint, i cant speak for you, i can't know from here what Preacher, Relative, Teacher, Church, Theological Study, or Denomination, has created you, and shaped you, in your theology, so that you are THAT, even tho you think its all yours.
But i can tell you this.. God would not tell you to please Him with your faith, if He though it was wrong for you to use your faith when your life is in a crack, or your children are in a mess, or cancer is at your door....etc.
Your bible tells YOU that "God sent His word and healed"....So, you are to use words, in faith, to speak against circumstances, while understanding that the power to change and restore and heal, is GOD's, but its on our behalf and its through OUR Faith, and OUR speaking into the darkness, that brings about the changes.
Its not God who is in the hospital room praying for someone you love that is eaten up with cancer.
Its YOU, using God's words with your Faith activating them to bring a CHANGE, a MIRACLE, into a situation that seems hopeless.
So, YES< its God's power, but we have GOD in us, so, that should tell you something about YOUR words, and their effect.

Here is a little story., its true.
Ive have a lot of different jobs..... careers, whatever you want to call them, in my lifetime.
Ive worked in Radio, ive worked in front of a congregation, ive worked in healthcare, ive written music that has been around the globe.
One of my other jobs, was, that i use to teach "Customer Service" on behalf of a large Retail Chain Store.
Ever heard of SEARS?
I spent some years there, as one of the people who trained managers for their new Dept, and i also trained "new Hires" in Art of excellent customer service > skills.
One day, i was asked to pick out 2 items that were to be "drawn" during a store meeting, and given as prizes.
Interestingly, i was asked to pick '""" what i would like to have""..
So, i picked a nice water filter device from one Dept and a nice pair of Binoculars from another Dept.
The next day, we had classes, and in one class they had the drawing for the Water Filter device.
In another class , the Binoculars were given as a prize.
As one of the managers handed me the 2nd prize, as i won both by drawing a number out of a hat....she said...."Name it claim it, huh"?
The reason she said this, is because i was the "preacher" person in the store. I was the one that gave away nice leather NTestaments to people, and i was the person that other employees knew was "fanatical":)
Good for me., as if they didnt think that, then what am i?
So, coincidence that out of about 300 employees, i wont both prizes that i chose and would like to own?
I wont both.<
Words have power, and words united with a Believer's FAITH have God's authority to change circumstances.
That's how God set it up, on our behalf.
We are down here in a freaking mess of a world that is toxic, dangerous, carnal, and hate fueled, and God has equipped us with HIMSELF inside us so that we can stand against this evil world, prevail, and create change by our words and our deeds ,= by our faith.
Just like God does it.
"Father we are one, and they are one with us".....ETC.... John 17:23.
Believe the NEW TESTAMENT YET?
Time you discovered who you really are "in Christ".

This is why when Paul , in Acts 19, told Elymas he would be blind for a season, ....= and it happened.
Paul SPOKE, and what He SAID, manifested as reality.
This is why Jesus did tell you to speak to your mountain.
So, you think on all i have said, and figure out what you believe about Faith, and Words, and why you believe what you believe.
And maybe you need an update and a tuneup in your theology so that it matches God's reality as its related to YOU.

Words have power, and words united with a Believer's FAITH have God's authority to change circumstances.

You said a mouthful here, Brother!

This is why...we will have to give account for every idle word that we speak. This is why...we are guilty of adultery if we even look upon a woman with lust.

First, make sure your relationship with the Father is on the right track.

Matthew 6:8 for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

If you don't understand our Father in heaven, then it would be hard to have someone you don't have a relationship to meet your needs. Then, ask that his will be done. His will is always perfect and you will not have to worry at anytime about your circumstance, cause you know his will is what is perfect.

Matthew 6:10 your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven

There is one scripture I am aware of that I cannot find on an internet search, and Romans 4:17 pops up everywhere, which I am not reffering to. The apostle Paul says 'we call things that are not as tho they were.' Im pretty sure that is how it goes. I think you add to that the scripture 'And all God's promises are yes...' 2 chorinthians 1:20. So then you have to know what the Word says. Also there are teachings that there are conditional promises and unconditional promises.
I know someone who God gave large sums of money to and had her give all way somewhere where there was a need.
'And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.' Phillipians toward the end.
Sorry this isnt written better, my tablet is annoying.

what is not fully grasped or accepted is that we were made in the image and likeness of God and part of this likeness is that like Him we can and do create - we first think table and the table comes into existence and not the other way round as is mostly accepted - twinc

I dont think you will find an explanation in the Bible, however you may discover some help when reading the works of J.A. Wheeler, Werner Heisenberg, and George Wald who attempt to explain what you ask. If those discoveries over the past century are correct, then the physically condensed energy of the so called 'big-bang' creation is totally the expression of metaphysical wisdom (Bereshit 1:1) or using the scientifically acceptable term 'information' .

"With wisdom God created the heavens and the earth" Proverbs 9-1

George Wald wrote for the 1984 Quantum Biology Symposium: "It has occurred to me lately - I must confess with some shock at first to my scientific sensibilities - that both questions (the origin of consciousness in humans and of life from nonliving matter) might be brought into some degree of congruence. This is with the assumption that mind, rather than emerging as a late growth in the evolution of life, has existed always as the matrix, the source and condition of physical reality - the stuff of which physical reality is composed is mind-stuff. It is mind that has composed a physical universe that breeds life and so eventually evolves creatures that know and create science, art, and technology... "

Let me add too. As for you or anyone trying to make something out of nothing my opinion would be to stop trying, you're not God.

I agree with this. This is one of those, if you have to ask, then you already know the answer. Anything that is not done in faith is sin. If you're unsure if it's in faith or not...it isn't.

There are many things you can speak into existence.
1. Love
2. Hate
You get the idea.

You are rich and may not even realize it. Rich people often don't.
Question is, what are you rich in, and is worth accumulating wealth.

You know your speaking by faith when you say what God has already said in His Word. Faith in His Word is key. And if you speak His Words you will get His results. But one has to be patient and also be willing to get the rest of your life in line with the Word.

Magic is people trying to produce something right now without God's Words or help.

Think about the passage in Matthew 12:34b - 37....
For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man from his inner good treasure brings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse brings forth evil things. But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak. For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.
Matthew 12:34‭-‬37 AMPC

By our Words we shall be justified, and every word we speak should be considered a container. Those who speak by faith in God's Word will have those things that God has already given us.

If the bible is true then ..."the power of life and death", your tongue, in formed by YOUR words..
Words have power....they can destroy a child's confidence, they can ruin your marriage, they can cause WW III, they can in fact kill or they can heal.
If a Judge says you are to be put to death, then its not paying your crime that killed you in the end, but rather its the WORDS of a Judge that took away your life even before they put you to DEATH.

God formed everything that is created and created "after its kind' by first imagining it, then HE created it all by words (Through the Word) into existence.
When Jesus himself walked on this earth, He was walking literaly on what was created by Him and through Him.
When your NT tells you that "if any 2 of you agree as touching anything",.....you can believe that this is not a mistranslation or an analogy, or a parable, but its a stone cold fact.
Your words spoken in Faith, will create..............and that is a fact.
"Faith", is not an abstract obtuse situation, but rather words spoken in faith are spiritually and literally empowered to create changes.
"The Power of Prayer", is actually the ability of FAITH to change a real circumstance you are involved in or with.

Been studying 2 teachings/preaching. 1 by Andrew Murray on "Absolute Surrender", and studying God's Promises which include your quote, 'Your words spoken in Faith, will create..............and that is a fact".
Aramaic Bible in Plain English
But Yeshua answered and said to them: “Timeless truth I tell you: The Son cannot do anything of his own will, but the thing that he sees The Father is doing; for those things that The Father does, these also The Son does like him.
Because human nature is what it is, I believe it best to be Absolutely Surrendered as Jesus is, 1st before calling things into existence.
I'm on this journey concerning salvation of others and health issues. Of course The Lord desires everyone to be saved and healed. But not a red convertible Mustang, especially for those going through mid-life crisis.:lol:cries

Are there any scripture verses that explain speaking things into existence?
Job 22:28 Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
This was spoken by Eliphaz, one of Job's friends who had come to comfort him.
At the end of the story of Job, God told Job to pray for his friends, because they had misrepresented Him, and He would forgive them.
"Word of faith" folk like to use that verse.
How do you know if this is of the Lord or witchcraft?
If you are using the concept for personal gain (wealth, health) then you are attempting to use God's power to satisfy your desires. That's witchcraft or sorcery.
If you are asking the Father to do something that gives Glory to Jesus and the Father, you are following scripture. You are asking the FATHER to do something, not declaring something and expecting God to fetch it for you.
Is it witchcraft to daydream or fantasize?
Nope. It is normal brain functioning.
Fantasizing is a type of brainstorming.
BUT...watch what you fantasize about. Don't give the devil a foothold in your mind.

No problem! Human beings CANNOT speak things into existence. In Joshua who was doing God's appointed work, he prayed and God did it and the Mountain is a metaphor...it refers to being able to remove obstacles.
