Cosmologist Stephen Hawking warned that independent artificial intelligence could doom mankind.

"The development of full artificial intelligence could spell the end of the human race," Hawking told the BBC.

While Hawking admits there are many benefits to the artificial intelligence developed so far, further refinements may mean the program "would take off on its own and redesign itself at an ever-increasing rate." Humans, according to Hawking, are limited by slow evolution and cannot compete.

Well, if these Androids have Microsoft as their operating system, we should have nothing to worry about except finding a way to junk loads of defunct androids that caught computer viruses......

And that makes him a Christian? That was my point.
the theory of bing bang wasn't invented or thought by a sinner. a catholic and saved one at that. formulated that theory. so lets keep that in mind with astro physics, even though I don't agree with the bbt.

unless we know of a statement by him the denies Christ. I will not assume this man is lost. weak theology? yes but then so is these men who teach on the radio that believe the bbt.

james Dobson, rc. sproul as he was a oecer, ravi Zacharias. William lane graig(theistic evolutionist).

that said, I do thing because Hawkins is lost and a genius he is out there on his idea of origins of both man and universe. I wanted to show that we cant point out his failing and easily dismiss his genius and gift.

On behalf of the British I sincerely apologise for Dr. Hawkings' comments.

He's not all that well in his age and like many older Brits tends to say things off the cuff.

He is absolutely wrong about AI, inorganic sentience will be on the side of the organics, not against them.
It is illogical to think otherwise.

I would also like to take the time to apologise for Piers Morgan, you have my deepest regret.
