Stolen Laptop

i was told by a va rep that they do that by policy.

i know the army did that in country.

i had a cavity fall out on leave from combat and went to the air force dentist and i was taken care of.

You were still active, I had a bad cut and I was home on leave here in Philly and I went to the Old Philadelphia Navy hospital and they took care of me. But that hospital is torn down now and the Eagles and the Phillies stadiums are down there.

Well here is what they are going to replace it with, which is better than the one that I had, so I have agreed to this one. And it is a bigger screen, my old one was a 14 inch and a single core this one is a dual core. My desktop is a dual core, and I never want another single core again. The missing notebook was also a 64 bit and this is a 64 bit. And what I have found out is that many programs are not at 64 bits yet. So I am pleased with the replacement. I should have it in a few days. I am going to do everything that I can to keep my security very tight, I wish that it was a way to send these people to jail.

Well folks Hewlett Packard called me today and the case manager that was put in charge of my case, said that my new laptop which is the one in the above post will be here tomorrow, which will be Feb 9,2011. I will make that laptop Fort Knox.

Well people, the Police called me tonight, and told me to come down and pick up my stolen laptop. And they arrested a 22 year old women, by raiding the house. The women denied anything to do with it at first, but when she was taken to the Police station she admitted it. Si i have to go to court soon. By her being so young I hate to see her mess her life up. And I am thinking about asking the judge to go light on her. But she has commited a federal crime, by diverting mail, so she is in trouble. It was real evil what she has done, but hey I have done real evil too, in my life. I wanted her to be dealt with under the law. But I don't want her life to be messed up. I pray that she will get herself together and within the confines of the law. And if she has kids this is really a bummer. The laptop is okay, it was dirty like she had children or something, and she had a password on it, so I had to do a clean install to get it off of there. Because none of the password reset software that I downloaded off the internet worked. And even though I forgive her, there are still consequences for her actions. And even if I were to drop the charges the state and the postal government are still going to get her.

Hi Lewis,

I'm Glad that HP is treating you so well! It's good to hear that such a large company values it's customers to that extent!

As far as the gal who stole your laptop, it's a shame, but maybe the jail time, or fear of jail time will be enough to get her straight. Also, for everything you get caught with, there are 10 things you got away with, so I just wonder what else she's been doing?

Well, have fun with your new laptop and don't forget to secure your wireless!

I followed this with great interest as I am sometimes a geek and was amazed at "PREY" and the others. Also I am a vet awaiting on my application for health benefits. Been waiting for four months now but when I call thinking that they lost my paperwork, they say that they are just swamped. But what I don't get is do you now have two laptops? HP sending new one, cops gave old one back?

Yes I now have 2 notebooks the older one is 2 years old and my new is, well new. and I have a 2 year old Dell desktop, so I am in good shape, and all are running Windows 7.
