Bible Study Strait and Narrow is THE WAY

13: Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

NARROW IS THE WAY which leadeth unto life....do you want to remain friends with the world, or forsake all, and follow Jesus?
 
Yes Christ is the only way and to follow Him is to forsake everything even our own lives..Wouldn't you agree..BUT how many are willing to give up everything, like the rich man are we like the rich man living in a nation where you can have anything you want almost.
One thing i would like to share is in my own life the things i struggle with the Lord brings them to mind so i will give them to Him ( sacrifice moreless ). Today is a hard day especially being my birthday and nothing is going well but the one thing The Lord is showing me is its time to be a servant not to be served.After all thats what being a Christ like individual is a Servant of Jesus Christ
ps I must decrease and Christ must increase.......

how many are willing to give up everything,...

Giving up everything is mental and sometimes physical. Realizing that Jesus gave you everything you have, and you OWN nothing, and all that you have is to be used FOR Him, for the preaching of the Gospel, for spreading the Word, realizing that is most of the battle.

Some people like to spend their free time in trivial pursuits, that have nothing to do with glorifying God, or telling people about Christianity,and, it ends up coming out of their mouths.
Very sad.

Giving up everything, knowing that you are NOT in control of anyone but yourself, will make you free.
God gave Job back everything and everyone he lost. Job never gave in, never cursed God, never
did anything but remain humble in his mind and mouth.

Thank Jesus for everything you have, and for everyone in your family. Ask Him how you might become more Christlike.
 
I'm wondering if ANYone in here knows what it's like to walk the straight and narrow path.

Can anyone in here give examples of what they do, or don't do, in order to keep their hearts pure, and their minds and lives HOLY?
 
You want the simple version or the long version...lol. I'll start with the simple version. Follow Christ get to know the Holy spirit and 3rd Deny yourself and pick up your cross daily.
Sounds simple does it. I will add another thing to it though. Find a sister or brother in Christ you can Share your innermost thoughts with. PS i havn't found that one yet...
What it isn't. Being faithful to your Church. Keeping attendance or whatever worldly pressure is put on you by organized religion.
 
I don't think you will find a sister or brother in Christ, in here, unless you look really hard.

This forum is sparse, has very few Christians. Most want to be as worldly as possible, play around in sin, and then just skip along their merry way, the broad path, mocking anyone and everyone who begs them to come out from among them, and be separate.

Thats a bit judgemental, I say. Do you know the hearts of all these folks?

You quote scripture. I asked you if you know the hearts of all these folks before you condemn them for not being real Christians.
