Strange Battery Placement

its done at times due to making space for other parts. don't complain to much, wait till you have to replace a battery on prius. it takes a cherry picker to do that job
:hysterical

Way back a million years ago i faintly remember a pickup wiht the battery under the seat.... they only had one seat back then....
A million years????? :lol

My parents had a car that had the gas cap hidden under the license plate. Can't remember what it was tho.
If I recall my parents '66 Ford Galaxy was like that. I'm going off my memory here so take it with a grain of salt.

So if you bought a new Prius how many miles approximately would it be before you would have to pluck down a pretty penny for a new battery?
two years with respect to heat or usage. that is what is generally said about the battery life in cars, but that may not be so with the prius as that is only the hybrid that has that large battery.
