Is anyone else hooked on this game? Actually I never cared for any video games until I came across this one.

Yes, I too was never one for computer games till I started playing this one. I actually got to the point where I was so good I would lead my own King into battle, lol. Sometimes I'd go King to King, and take them out personally.

I say go with mercenaries first, start small. Industrialize and master your economy. That, my friend, and fighting absolutely dirty :D is the key to success.

Also, you get as much popularity points for pubs as you do food, so there's something else you can sacrafice. Set up a bunch of pubs, and by ale for all the town, instead of focusing on buying/growing multiple types of food for the +8 approval.
