Suggestions for reading?

I would appreciate some suggested reading material.

For me, a Bible study or a Bible accompaniment

For my daughter, son-in-law and 6 month old granddaughter- something to help with family life and living in faith.

Ezekiel once ate a scroll. But I wouldn't recommend eating your bible.

Well. I mean, you can, spiritually. Jesus is bread. I just don't recommend eating the physicality of the bible.

On the other hand, you have different fingers. And I'm tired.

You can read 5 psalms and 1 proverb and be through both in 30-some days.

There are some bible devotional apps. Add a little Spurgeon. And you can do your own devotionals by yourself with the SOAP Method which I think I got from the Divine Mentor.

(S)cripture (O)bserve (A)pplication (P)rayer.

Quick example

(S)Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want
(O) The Lord knows our needs, thus we should never "want" or be in need.
(A) How can I apply? I don't need that extra hamburger, I don't need that money I'm playing the lottery for, I don't need the girl I covet with my lustful heart.
(P) Thank you Father of Lights, you are our shepherd. You fulfill us completely through Jesus Christ. You know our needs, and bestow peace to our hearts. Glory to your name for ever. Amen.

Thanks! I hadn't thought about creating my own devotional. I use to make lesson plans for our son for school and I ended up learning from doing that, so that sounds like a great idea for me.

Yeah, It probably wouldn't be a good idea to eat my Bible, I know all the places it has been, and one copy is on my tablet and that just sounds painful. :lol
