I saw the Barbarian beautiful Rose thread, and I thought I would do one of a sunflower from my back yard

Atonement: Great photo. I like the texture, too. "Renaissance Gothic Made in TX"? :)

Blessings.

We been to the Renaissance festival twice and it's pretty cool, the main one in Texas is about 25 miles north of my house. Not far for us at all. Actually they have great props from what we seen, they have awesome wardrobes and they speak the accent from that era etc. It's pretty awesome stuff

Atonement: Well, sounds really good. I can see how the Renaissance fests and re-enactments have from a design point of view have inspired various graphic and design manifestations and activities and so forth, including various things around the Gothic style.

Particularly good if you like dressing up, that is.

It was a crucial period of European history, too.

Blessings.

The selective focus and the bronze tint make this one special. I like what you've done with it. It's a pleasant change from the saturated yellow images most people do with these flowers.

This was layered with an old brown paper bag which gives it the texture and color. I been playing around with layers for about two years and how to use certain objects to enhance the photo(s) unique feel.
