Actually, you just bring up irrelevancy like "Abraham Lincoln", which is most illogical. When you get frustrated, you just say whatever pops into your head. I believe if you will read my other posts regarding the Virgin Mary that I showed from the ONT
LOL another mind reader .
So that perpetual virgin nonsense has no support at all. None you can quote . You have offered nothing from scripture. Please keep to topic.

Right up there with rapture drivel.
Hitch, Despite your meanspirited tone, you continue to deny truth. You didn't you? Say of yourself, "I am a Calvinist". But you know Calvin believed Mary is "ever virgin". In that you are not, then, a Calvinist. If a man teaches any major error, he should not be referred to as a teacher. It is not a major error, but to think ours is the first generation of Christians to come to the Bible is ignoring the facts of history. The truths of Christianity do not change, and our opinions of them matter not. Christ's truth remains the same. You're bored with my words? What about me? You still have not produced one text that says "the children of Mary and Joseph". Then your mind wanders to Abraham Lincoln. Can you not stick to the topic. Get a hold on reality here. Why refer to Lincoln in a discussion on Christ and Mary? What has Lincoln got to do with anything, for goodness sake? Just wondering! God bless (you). I'm sure you mean well, you're just a bit illogical. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington
Go tell your mother she wants you.

Get back to topic or bug off.

Dear Hitch, You are acting like a bully.
Why do you say things like that? Chapter and verse from the Bible that justifies your harsh words. You are acting inappropriately.
Moderator, please tell this person such conduct is against your rules, isn't it?
What justifies such personal attacks?
I have no animosity against Mr. Hitch. What he says to me reflects animosity. Is Mr. Hitch going to tell Jesus to "bug off". I hope you find truth soon, you are acting ignorantly toward me. I have done nothing against you personally, why all the invective and poison words against me, dude?

either discuss the concept from the op or this thread is done.

adress the argument not the person and if you cant get along then dont post in here.

Scott, I probably missed it in here somewhere but what scriptures are you using to support "ever-virgin" or "aeiparthenos"?

Dear Westtexas, See my other post in this CF where I quote from the exposition of the OT and NT in Gillquist's book "Becoming Orthodox: A Journey to the Ancient Christian Faith". Matthew 1:25 and Ezekiel 44:1-2 and also John chapter 20 or 21 where Christ entrusts Mary, His mother, to St. John. Mary would not have had St. John take care of the Virgin Mary if Mary ever had any other children of her own. In Erie PA Scott Harrington
:yes

Another thing I cant grasp is what good does it do Mary before men or God to be 'ever-virgin '?

I can only think the idea as a whole becomes a tool to oppress and intimidate people.

Heb 13:4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

1Co 7:3 Let the husband render unto the wife due benevolence: and likewise also the wife unto the husband.

1Co 7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Did God force a fraud on Joseph?

I agree 100%! Scott and Hitch (and whoever else comes in here causing friction), please conduct yourselves as responsible Christians and no more insults which include references to anyone's mother and NO MORE arguing. Have respect and courtesy for the other members and keep your petty bickering to PMs. :grumpy

Off topics posts will now be deleted and further distractions in this forum may result in the removal of posting privvies in the End Times forum. :shame

I've reconsidered my decision and decided this is a topic that just can't be discussed civilly, isn't really conducive to the purpose of the End Times forum and it seems it's main goal is to provoke anger form other members.
