What do you think???

It is better to take a bad decision rather than not to take at all.

Some keep on dying in silence and would not do anything about that. Take a decision!!! Even if the outcome is bad...then you can truly shake your head with satisfaction: I took a decision.

Many have given this advice. Some finally made a bold step after years of silence. Some outcomes were bad, although the step taken was good; some outcomes were good, although the steps taken were baaaaad.

Deep question.
So many layers of possible answers......

"he who hesitates is lost".

"he who waits upon the Lord shall renew their strength"...(Isaiah 40:31)

"even if you are on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there".

"dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today".

"Here is a test to find out whether your mission on earth for the Lord is finished:..... If you're alive it isn't".

"we are not promised tomorrow"

"smart too late, old too soon"

"time and tide wait for no man"

"what you gained by living, you lose by waiting"

"failure is proof of effort, and if you never fail, you never tried"

"be a doer, not a watcher"

Something to think about is this...
You can wait too long.
Thats a fact.

Something else to think about is this...
Would you rather get to the end your life dealing with the consequence of your choices along the way.... or would you rather reach the end of your life regretting what you didnt do that you knew you should have done.?

I use to use as one of my forum "sigs"...."God hates a coward".
I dont use this anymore, and of course God does not hate anyone, however, the sentiment is a good one if it sparks someone to get off their stuck in life position of do-nothing-ism and inspires them to do something for God.

Face it..

"Life is short and soon will pass, only whats done for Christ will last".

If you are going to err in life, then try to err on the side of doing something, vs erring on the side of being a nothing.
Dream big.
Reach for the stars.
Be the best you can be 24/7
You and Christ together are the majority.
In the end it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.

One day you'll meet Jesus, and he is going to ask you.... "what did you do for me with the life i gave you"?
And if all you can say is......"i tried to live right, i went to church, i worked and i created a family", then, this is not a bad answer, but its not the best answer.
Strive, strain, do diligence to do more then just be an average Christian,.....and instead live a life in Christ wide open so that when you meet your Lord at the judgement seat of Christ, he will look at you and say...."welcome Good and Faithful servant....

In lieu of discernible guidance from the Lord it is better to do nothing and wait on the Lord even when circumstances seem to be compelling you to do something, anything. When your heart is right and you genuinely want to do the right thing, but are afraid to do anything, it's really hard to miss the Lord with your inaction. But hasty bad decisions made thinking that doing something is better than doing nothing can take you out of God's will and delay God's best for you while he works to get you back on track.

Remember what King Saul did?

7 As for Saul, he was still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. 8 Then he waited seven days, according to the time set by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. 9 So Saul said, “Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering. 10 Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him.

11 And Samuel said, “What have you done?”

Saul said, “When I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered together at Michmash, 12 then I said, ‘The Philistines will now come down on me at Gilgal, and I have not made supplication to the Lord.’ Therefore I felt compelled, and offered a burnt offering.”

1 Samuel 13:7-12 NIV1984)

Fear is usually the motivation for thinking we must do something instead of nothing. That's not a good reason to do something.

I think the line was penned by Neil Peart.
Im not certain whom he stole it from.:study

Funny, as I was logging on this morning I was just thinking that Neil did write a lot of their lyrics, and I wondered if he wrote that one. Thanks for the info. :clap
