Jesus said you will always have the poor, and i believe his words. We will always have the homeless as well.

Its nearly spring now. What happened?. Homeless off the street by winter?. That article was in may, its nearly october, winter is nearly over.

Currently In democrat bastion ft.pierce a ban is being pushed to stop feeding the homeless.

Wpuld that not be a violation of human rights, banning people from freely giving someone who is hungry some food. Its suppose to be about charity, and giving someone some food if you have some spare food is just called generosity.

I always give people free fish when I go fishing. Its good to give. Some people can't afford it or don't have the time to get out.

They will require a permit ,as is the case in Orlando, the incident in ft.lauderale didn't change the law state wide.

It's more about the problems I see,urination in public.I do see this ,and have mentioned my being a costed by feces,etc in the restrooms on the wall.

That's the concern, a permit requiriNG the use of Porta john with if necessary Leo to kill that isn't unreasonable.

I'm hardly cruel to these just see my night creaturea and I study them

I find it doesn't matter the leaning of the politician, the homeless and those like you are often ignored. it wasn't until a few vets got involved here that we even had actual homes for the homeless that were willing to start over again. some vets are homeless because the cost of meds and so forth overwhelm them and ptsd and well a record.

I hit on a nerve or something when I commented on the local homeless "problem" here in Houston. The city and police were going to do an intervention of sorts and clean up a homeless camp downtown. I pointed out the Catch-22 the government has put the homeless in. Most of the homeless qualify for disability benefits, but the government and the banks have conspired to prevent them from receiving just that. The government demands that the recipient of benefits have a bank account because all benefit payouts by S.S. must now be by way of direct deposit. Banks require that customers have a physical address. How can the homeless receive benefits without a home? They can't. The system is rigged.

I believe the homeless need half-way houses to establish residency to receive benefits and use this temporary residence as a base to be reintroduced back into society, where ever possible. When this is determined not possible, then moved to assisted living. I don't know how this could be implemented, but mankind has the intelligence and resources to fix this. The only thing missing is the will.

My experience is seeing a world full of cry babies who are jelous and envious some people have more than they do.

On another note, I have compassion for genuine victims but im not sure what the world expects me to do about it. The damage is already done.

All the world does is try bring everyone down with this victimhood culture. The more people are told they are victims, the more depressed and less confidence they have. Keep them trapped in a depressed and low confidence state.

The reason I gave up on conservatism is because it gave up on me. I did all the "right" things a "good" conservative should do. I voted straight ticket Republican from Reagan right up to George W.. I had a right-to-carry license. I was and still am an NRA life member with the leather jacket, NRA cap, the pins, badges, bumper stickers etc. I know all the conservative talking points, I know about the barely hidden ( wink, wink ) racism, the fend for yourself "keep your hands off of my stack" mentality. My big GMC dually was my pride and joy. My assault rifles, especially my M-14E2, was my treasure. But I got cross-ways with Shell Oil, Met Disability, the Episcopal Church. It took coming a hair's breadth from becoming homeless in order to have empathy for the homeless. It took becoming disabled in order to have empathy for the disabled. It took becoming an orphaned bastard to have a heart for orphans. It took the tidal waves of memories in order for me to have empathy for homosexuals and prostitutes. Conservatism was ripped away from me. My love for Texas was ripped away. My identifying as even an American has faded. I lost 2 of my 3 kids to government/corporate intimidation/bribery. All I am left with is God, my wife, and our youngest son. Conservatism is for the able bodied. But at some point, either through accident, age, sickness or some other malady, the conservative system will turn on you like a rabid dog. You will come to realize you were playing with a rabid dog all along. It is a worldly system, an angel of light. But it is a farce.
