[__ Prayer __] take things seriously

OK. I realize now that part of my problem pre-Christ, and even now, though to a lesser extent, is that I didn't/don't take things as seriously as I should. I kinda floated through my late teens and into my 20th year in a tranquilized, then goof ball-ed (Rx Adderall+Rx Klonopin=Rx trance state, 24/7) haze. And now...

I really need to grow up a bit and take things more seriously, starting w/ Liberty Online. I'm doing reasonably well, but I should be doing better. I'm just now checking back into Reality, which is a blessing, but with it comes certain obligations, like...do your work as unto The Lord, for instance.

So...that is my prayer request, lol. The last thing I want is to brush off school, obligations, life itself again and miss out on everything. Thanks.

Dear Father, I am so happy to see Your work continuing to bring forth fruit in our brother here among us. Please continue making things necessary, and that desired to be in balance as You lead him to that which will benefit him forever to have Your best, and to be in Your perfect will. Give CE the resolve, and the strength to compete for the goals before him, and the power of mind to forget the past while reaching forward to all he can be in You. Direct his choice while selecting classes that will provide employment, and the peace to be content when he gives You his best effort. Bless him as he's seeking Your provision in his time of need, and I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Every opportunity, every challenge presented to us have been given to us by our Lord. His blessings, His love for us prove daily that He is a merciful and caring Father to us. And for these blessings, we should live up to the uppermost of our abilities in return. He desires the best for us.... we desire to more perfectly love Him each and every day.

Hi CE

I think you on the right track, you have come such a long way already. Try not to be so hard on yourself. It's okay to take little steps, we all get there at the end of the day. Sometimes we get lost in everyday life and we tend to forget what really matters. Just always keep God close.

thanks, y'all. I just finished a discussion board for a 300-level history class (!!!!), and I'm feeling better about the whole situation. I mean, God didn't bring me this far to destroy me, right? Right. And its good, when recovering from "mental illness," to have a project, something to do. Pursuing a degree is extra awesome because not only do get to learn alot, but at the end I'll have that (expensive, hard earned) piece of paper that could potentially get me a job. Or into another degree program, lol. We'll see.

Thanks again.
