Teacher Picks on me and makes things awkward

In my French/German lesson I have a teacher, a woman but that has nothing to do with it I was failing to describe her but here is whats goin' on... Its nothing religious nor sexual but I feel I need to tell somebody

  • When I sit down to do my work we get on with the lesson, but she stands right next to me and leans over my shoulder to read my work and it really is awkward I end up covering my work because if I copy something down wrong or get the wrong answer she makes a huge fuss over it and tells the whole class >_>
  • She picks on me because I usually dont understand what she is saying... I dont know how to form the future tense in french and everytime something pops up to do with that or something else I dont get she always picks on me!
  • She too trys getting everybody to laugh by taking the piss out of me; "I need an example, no not you phillip cant read it!!!" "Move your head phillip your blocking the lazer pointer!!!" It really does piss me off and im [] <This close to turning round to her telling her to [staff edit] off and walk out

Anybody got any ideas of what I can do >_>
I thought of one whilst I was writing this up:
Move chair
Move class
Tell her to [staff edit] off

Sounds like a really annoying situation. Doing what you said is also a tempting option because you go out with a bang and looking cool to the other people in the class, Not to mention that you would cause the teacher to have the realization that you don't care how old she is and then maybe she would take you seriously. But don't do it. My best advice is to not let her get the laugh for the rest of the class and do not look aggravated. Then she might realize she wont get anything out of doing that to you. That or go with the flow and laugh with them and then

A. You will start to enjoy it as well and it will become an enjoyable thing.
B. She will realize you enjoy it and it wont be as funny to be like that to you in front of the rest of the class to get a laugh.

Hopefully one of the two happens in the "go with the flow" situation. But its possible that it would not become enjoyable and even with your "poker face" she still persist anyway. In that case it may be more productive to directly confront her with respect. Make sure you do it with respect because here you will get more respect in return from her and she will more likely listen to you and she will more likely listen to what you have to say in the future.

Perhaps you can confront her? Or try showing nothing at all consistently and eventually it might get boring for her. That or try respectfully confronting her.

I was in a not-the-same-but-similar situaltion. my best advice is confront her BUT BE RESPECTFUL! If she acts like "what?" then explain to your parents the situation and see what they have to say about it. Teachers are always aiming to please parents.

I agree with the above. Respectful confrontation is the best way to go. If it is serious and persists after that, go to the head of that department. Let her know you mean business.

Oh, and by the way, that kind of language is NOT appropriate on a Christian forum. Luckily we have word censors.
