Any form of media can be used for good, or it can be used for bad. My sister-in-law called me several years ago to tell me that their preacher (a real extremist) had told the congregation that it was a sin to have TV in their house because of the "bad programming" that is shown. So, they all took their TV sets to the church parking lot and smashed them. It didn't take too long for them to discover that they really missed their TV - they enjoyed some programs and her husband missed being able to see the evening news when he got home from work. So, they went out and bought another TV and then they were afraid that someone from the church would come to their house and see the TV and tell the preacher. So they lived in constant stress about the whole thing. She asked me what they should do. I told them that basically it isn't the preacher's business whether they have a TV or not. And I went on to tell her that if they want to completely eliminate the bad stuff, they would have to smash all the radios - after all, some of the stations play inappropriate music that no one should listen to. And then, we have to burn down all the libraries - after all, they have books in there with sexual situations, bad language, and books about devil worship and many other horrible subjects. And, above all, we shouldn't have computers with the internet - after all, there are porn sites and other material that's not suitable for anyone to view.
I think she got the point. Any media source can be used for good or used for bad. We have complete control as to how we use any media source that we have access to.
It's all about choices - OUR choices.
God Bless
