Temptation and the Holy Place

I believe the hour of temptation spoken of in Rev 3:10 is that we who are in Christ hold fast His word as we stand in the holy place, which is our faith that is Christ Jesus. It will be a time of great patience and endurance for those who are of Christ during the time of Gods great wrath being poured out into the world and more so when we see the abomination of desolation Daniel spoke of and Jesus told us to flee from, Matthew 24:15.

The hour of temptation that comes upon the whole world in every nation is that of the beast out of the sea who gives power to the beast out of the earth. The beast out of the earth is the son of perdition being the final false prophet (antichrist) that will show lying signs and wonders as he promises peace and safety claiming he is God. Those who received not the love of truth that they might be saved God will send them strong delusion that they will believe the lies of this false prophet sealing their fate forever when they take it's mark as they bow down and worship this beast. John 17:1-12; 2Thessalonians 2:3-12, Rev 13

Matthew 24:29-31 and Matthew 25:31-46 are very simular passages as we see that immediately after the tribulation of those days, meaning after Gods mighty wrath is poured out into the world during the seven trumpet judgments, Rev 8-11, the sun will be darkened, the moon no longer gives its light, the stars fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens (notice heavens are plural as I will get back to that) shall be shakened then will appear the sign of the Son of God as the sign is the visible Glory of God in Christ as He comes in the clouds and every eye will see Him, Rev 1:7.

John 6:40 says Jesus will raise all up on the last day as there is only one resurrection according to John 5:28,29 that says all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth. They that are Gods children, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have rejected God, unto the resurrection of damnation. Those who are in their graves are two types of people that will rise up, but only one resurrection that happens all at once. Many try to use Daniel 12:1,2 to say there are two separate resurrections at different times, but that is not what Daniel says.

The powers of the heavens that will be shaken is that of the war between Michael with his angels who fight against Satan who is the prince of the power of the air, Ephesians 2:2, and his angels as Satan is cast out of the third heaven where God sits on His throne and cast down through the heavens to the earth, Rev 12:7-12. From Rev 12:13 through chapter 13 we read how Satan begins his war on earth as he persecutes the remnant of the body of Christ who are still alive at this time, but they have been instructed by Jesus to stand in the holy place, Matthew 24:15, which is our faith that is Christ Jesus, when they see the abomination of desolation Daniel spoke of in Daniel 7.

Rev 13 is the abomination of desolation when Satan gives power to the beast out of the sea who gives power to the beast out of the earth who is the son of perdition, false prophet (last antichrist) who promises peace and safety during this time of great tribulation that has never been seen before nor ever will be again, Matthew 24:21. This false prophet will cause a great falling away as God sends strong delusion on those who received not the love of truth that they should believe the lies coming out of the mouth of the son of perdition (last false prophet) who through lying signs and wonders will promise peace and safety to all who will take his mark and bow down and worship him, 2Thessalonians 2:3-12.

Then we will have 1290 days until the end of these wonders. The "holy place" is the "earth" that swallowed up the flood spewing forth from the dragon's mouth after 1260 years of Paypal persecution came to an end in 1798. We are the second of the "two" wings of the Great Eagle. America America God shed His Grace on thee.

The reason I logged in here was to figure this one out. Where is it that you find the first beast gives his power to the second beast. I guess that I read it the other way around. But if I'm right that the "earth" from Revelation 12 is the same "earth" from Revelation13, then it would mean that our end time Antichrist is about to rise up from the United States of America.

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he(America) had power to do in the sight of Roman Empire saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make a likeness to this beast which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he (America) had power to give life unto the likeness of Roman Empire that the likeness of this beast authority should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the likeness of this beast should be killed.

I think SDA believe that the United States is the second beast that rises from the earth. But it's actually the "earth" that the Devil will rise from. Coincidentally, my understanding of the "holy place" can only be arrived at if first one understands the SDA position on the 1260 years of Revelation 12 and Daniel 7.

Is it: "he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him?

I guess that my thought is that the first beast got it's power from the dragon, which is Lucifer.

And the second beast is the actual physical manifestation of Lucifer himself.

So the second beast is just using his own power, the authority that the dragon gave the first beast when he was still working behind the scenes. This is just Lucifer taking physical control of the composite beast that he created.

In 2015 I arrived at the notion that the United States was the "earth' who helped the woman. At that time I also found materials to suggest that the thing Jesus was talking about: "For then the will be great tribulation", would be about a third of a 1260 day span, 420 or 371 days in duration. Just like in the days of Noah.

In 2017, I found a person from Ohio who also arrived at a similar understanding. I nearly took a stroke when I found him. He thinks that the abomination is something different than I do, but he's a good guy. In his video, he mentions the USA as the "holy place" about 9 minutes into the video.

Hi Dave, I hope this helps why I believe the Holy place is that faith of Christ that we stand in no matter what tries to come against us, Matthew 10:28.
Now for the sea beast who gives it's power and authority to the earth beast>

Rev 13:1-4
John saw a beast (beast is often referred to as nations in scripture) rise up out of the sea having seven heads and ten horns and upon his horns ten crowns, (crowns denotes Kings) and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

The beast rises up out of the sea as the sea here is symbolic of people and nations as in a sea of humanity, Daniel Chapter 7:1-8; Revelation 17:15. This beast is the Luciferians political, economic and false religious system (revived Roman Empire) who gives its power and authority to the beast out of the earth who is the false prophet who will cause a great falling away, but will be consumed by the words of Christ when He returns, 2Thessalonians 2:1-12. USA especially Washington DC was founded on this system and have always followed after the beast out of the sea. USA is a Christian nation and will come under great persecution from the two beast. (stand in the Holy place and be not tempted)

The seven heads are that of the Babylonian Empire, Medo/Persian Empire and Grecian Empire and Roman Empire. The ten horns represent the nations the Roman Empire scattered to when the deadly wound was put upon them, Daniel 7:23-25. The deadly wound came in 1798 when General Berthier of France captured Pope Pius VI, who soon died in captivity in Valence, on August 29, 1799. Seven of these nations are the ancestors of the modern nations of Europe.

These ten nations were the Anglo-Saxons (English), the Franks (French), Suevi (Portuguese), Visigoths (Spanish), Burgundians (Swiss), Alemanni (Germans), Lombards (Italians), Ostrogoths, Heruli, and the Vandals in northern Africa. The last three being Ostrogoths, Heruli, and the Vandals had already been destroyed by the Roman Empire before their deadly wound came in 1798.
