I just want to give thanks to my Lord in testimony for healing.

Having been dieting I had cut down on calories and started eating many vegetables. As a taste enhancement I like jalapenos and began eating many more than normal. In fact I bought a giant jar of them at Costco; can you buy anything there normal size? I’m guessing after a week my insides were burning bad, and especially in the kidney areas. I scarcely could walk the next couple days due to being sick, and then I began urinating dark brown (blood in urine). My wife had to remind me of the large amount of jalapenos I had been eating. I had been praying and now called the doctor.

Tests made them think I had kidney stones. Over the next month came CT scans, and scopes I had yesterday checking for abnormalities and cancer. All tests show nothing is wrong, but of course what do they know; science can’t even get the weather right.

Thank You Father in Jesus’ name.

Yup as you used to say a lot. Sometimes my stupidity gets in the way of common sense, but my Father is ever mindful of my limitations and is always faithful in His love of me. I read in Rom 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." With that in mind did the jalapenos cleanse out something inside planted by me or our enemy just waiting to get a foothold? I don't know, but I'm thankful.

Your jalapeno escapade reminded me of the almond diet. Eating a couple/three almonds a day is supposed to help one to lose weight.

Sounds great, doesn't it?

The only problem is: 1) a typical person cannot eat just 3 almonds. Almonds are tasty. 2) Eating more than just a slim few can actually cause weight gain. Rather defeats the purpose of doing a cost-effective diet.
