This swine flu is a type of plague, the bible talks about it as well and how it will come to pass what is your opinion on what the bible says in comparison on what's going on now ?

This swine flu reminds me of when the demons were cast into the swine and they all jumped off the cliff into the sea and they were killed.

I herd on the news that around the world they killing swines. Interesting sign of the day of judgement.

Much worse has happened many times throughout history. Before anyone gets all worked up about this particular swine flu episode being a sign of the apocalypse, I suggest you research the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic. Then consider what your reaction to that would have been, seeing as 91 years later it was clearly not a product of the end times.

I suggest the OP lay off the isogesis, trying to squeeze this hour's latest trials and tribulations into Scripture. It's disingenuous and looks like it came straight from the pages of the National Enquirer. :halo

While not exactly the Black plague, I think Swine Flu (like Bird Flu, West Nile Virus, SARS, and other modern, smaller-scale viral outbreaks) is indeed part and parcel of the "plagues" aspect of the signs that Jesus said would characterize the Last Days.

While the dark specters of the Black Plague, and the Spanish Flu usually take center stage with regard to pandemics, a number of other horrific, yet lesser known outbreaks have risen their ugly heads to consume varying portions of humanity throughout history:

While an estimated 75 million deaths worlwide have been attributed to the Black Death, and 50-100 million succumbed to the Spanish Flu in less than 2 years, Smallpox killed an estimated 300-500 million people during the 20th century alone. Typhus killed about 3 million between 1918 and 1922, and both Malaria and Cholera continue to kill hundreds of thousands of people every year. Plus, according to those who keep up with such things, there are many other powerful threats on the horizon.

We might do well to remember also, that many of the chidhood diseases conquered by vaccines in the Sixties have mutated to the point that the vaccines are no longer effective. likewise, Staph infection is becoming a serious contributor to patient mortality because anti-Staph agents are less effective. And finally, older maladies like Tuberculosis cases are on the rise around the world.

So, before discounting smaller outbreaks as not pertaining to Jesus' "plagues," I think we need to look at the big picture, and view all of the known outbreaks as threads in a tapestry, or bricks in a wall.

All of these scourges, taken together--small and great--are parts of a whole.

So, yes, I think the increase in influenza and viral outbreaks, even the seemingly innocuous, contribute to the totality of the endtime sign Jesus spoke of, just like the small, globally insignificant military coups that frequently occur in small nations contribute--along with all the "big wars" of history, toward the conditions He spoke of with regard to global warfare.

But, hey, that's just my humble opinion.

Yours in Christ,

Randy

There is just so much sickness in the world now days, whether it be the flu, AIDS, cancer or whatever, people are more sick then ever in all parts of the world. I believe all of these sicknesses are signs of the end. I pray that Jesus comes quick so sin can finally be put to death.
