Have you ever noticed the huge surge of desire and longing in people to get back to the natural for our healing and medicine? The FDA combined with the drug industry and the media have almost totally erased this knowledge from our minds, and worse yet from our spirits. The FDA may, someday, take the herbs out of the health food stores but even the FDA will never get rid of the weeds. Yes, believe it our not, the weeds are a gift from God and when God gives us something, no one can take it away.

The Bible condemns the use of poisons for medicine and labels it as sorcery, and very plainly tells us that true medicine is leaves. The common name used for medical leaves is herbs. Ps.104:14 says that He has given us "herbs for the service of man."

Almost prophetically, Thomas Jefferson gave us this warning: "If people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny." Remember, this statement was made about 100 years before there ever even was an FDA!

Do you believe for a minute that the government's healthcare plan (under any administration) is designed to help us live longer healthier lives? Do you know how easy it is for medical universities (funded by pharmaceutical companies) to convince new doctors that "drugs save lives"? Have you ever wondered what The Bible says about all this?

Strong's exhaustive concordance of the Bible, which lists every word in the Bible, lists the word "sorcery" as word #5332 and tells us that it is translated from the original Greek word "pharmakon." It gives the definition as: a drug i.e. a spell-giving potion, a druggist or pharmacist, a poisoner.

A pharmacist today has the same Greek title that he had at the time the New Testament was written 2000 years ago, and he is still doing the same thing: dealing in poisonous drugs!

The Bible says that "sorcery", or the use of poisonous drugs, has deceived all nations. "For by thy sorceries (pharmacea) were all nations deceived. And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth". (Revelation 18:23-24).

All nations practice sorcery through the use of drugs, but they are deceived into thinking that it's right. God condemns the merchandising and use of poisonous drugs along with murder and idolatry. Read it in your own Bible. Study it for yourself. If you don't own a concordance, borrow one from your library and see it with your own eyes.

Look in Webster's 2nd Collegiate Dictionary published in 1980 under the word "pharmaceutical." The definition reads: "pharmaceutical" the practice of witchcraft or the use of poison.

The very first place the word "medicine" is used in the Bible is in Proverbs 17:22 and it says, "A merry heart doeth good, like a medicine." If medicine and drugs are the same thing, this would, at first glance, seem to reveal a contradiction in the Bible. This question is answered in the very next text listed in the concordance under medicine: Ezekiel 47:12, "the fruit thereof shall be for meat and the leaf thereof for medicine." The Bible is telling us that medicine is good and it tells us where to obtain it: from the leaves or what we commonly call "herbs".

Well, people who read my posts here often see my condemnation of "do-nothing drugs" and as I call them "drugs that lower numbers are basically worthless" (I.e. cholesterol, high BP, high blood sugar, etc).

I'm with you, and at 52 years old do not take any drugs from the doctor--- take vitamins instead, and am never sick. Even the vitamins I tend to take separately so that I can control the dosage, so 30 pills a day is nothing for me as I scoff at "establishment vitamins" like Centrum Silver or something to that effect. But even vitamins I don't trust---- there's always something man twists and turns which is why I take so many so that "I can latch onto something" as I always say.

And people here love my mantra which is turned 180º from medical establishment's wisdom: salt is not bad. cholesterol does not cause heart attacks. Saturated fats are not bad (go ahead, switch back to butter and milk with fat in it) etc.

If I had the money, I'd go more organic but I try to stick with foods without a long list of ingredients in it (e.g. yogurt--- just milk and not all the other stuff). We grow our own garden in the summer and my sister-in-law has free-roaming chickens to lay their own eggs. But yeah, it's hard to get anything pure these days with mankind adding his touch to everything.

i hope you dont get any injuries of the brain that require meds to fix.

while i do understand tim's position on things, though i have a differing opion on bp and cholesterol. yours isnt what that verse means. it means that the land has herbs and etc that you could use. also much of medicine is also from the land. lipitor is omega three fatty acids.

mj would be ok then for use as a rec drug then as it is a herb.
and oh btw the human body makes oxycotin and others that are found in nature that at times need to be leveled.

so is water that you drink? why do i say that because men must purify it in order for you to drink it. how do they do that? simple chlorination and also reverse osmisios. drink from r and o directly for too long and you die.

i guess rickets that was common in the european past was man made too or the fact that many died in europe from disease that we have wiped out just doesnt count.

and mj has side effects big time. when used too long it can lead to other illness aside from cancer. psychosis is linked to that.Do you really think we could grow the drugs needed for all man and still enough food?

most drugs are derivatives of herbs
or as in antibiotics fungi

that being said i agree with you and thomas jefferson
but more in word that action as i am in mexico and using drugs to counter the bacterial infection i have

also for the record ... i went that route a while and took valerian instead of a pill like valium for sleep aid

the side effects for me were many times worse from the herb than the drug
this scenario would repeat in my life with other herbs, extreme dehyration, extreme side effects.

rather than demonize all drugs perhaps some public oversight to transnational corporate monsters would help, not just quality control but economic and buz practice ethics as well, perhaps make them actually obey the law
and bust congessmen who recive graft from corporatye interest
