The bible could have made it a maximum of two

I'm not supporting polygamy!!!!!!!
:lolI'm not trying to be funnny about this thread. I know what many people go through, and even some christians. The bible permits only monogamy!!!!! Yet some are not very comfortable with it. There have been some women and men who said:

Female: 'I loved the two - but I have only one' (And if possible she can allow the other male into her marriage)

Male: 'I loved the two - but I have only one' (And if possible he can allow the other female into his marriage)

Almost all females/males had/have this problem - I don't know whom to choose among the two). It is a very difficult issue for some... that they don't even know what to do. They kind of 'cast lots' and say, it fell on him/her - therefore s/he's the one. And if something goes wrong, if the partner dies, you see him/her going back to the other person she/he could have married (He/she didn't marry the two as a result of the bible monogamy thing. And that is the reason most unbelievers easily recover from divorce. They still have the other person(s) they could have married)

This is from Brandy. It is plural to some.

Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry...
Have you ever tried to find the words but they dont come out right
Have you ever
Have you ever
(Have you ever)

Have you ever been in love, been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
You'd give anything to make them feel the same
Have you ever searched for words to get you in their heart
But you dont know what to say and you dont know where to start
Have you ever loved somebody so much it makes you cry...

Have you ever found the one you've dreamed of all your life
You'd do just about anything to look into their eyes...

Have you ever closed your eyes and dreamed that they were there
And all you can do is wait for the day when they will care...

To some, it is not 'somebody' it is 'two people' and she/he has equal love for them

Have you ever been in love, been in love so bad
You'd do anything to make them understand
One person in love with two different people

Have you ever had someone steal your heart away
To some, it is 'two people'

You'd give anything to make them feel the same

But you dont know what to say and you dont know where to start

Brandy isn't talking about polygamy here, she's not talking about plurality.

What can we tell these people? Are they abnormal? Almost every female has this difficulty. Almost every male has this problem. It is not infatuation!

Even in most marriages, (monogamous ones) the fondness towards that other person is still there.

My sister once had this problem. Now she has one man. She is now married.

Can we help these people?

It's like any other sin. And as hard as it may be, we all have the personal responsibility to put sinful thoughts and desires to death.

Harboring secret sinful desires in one's heart is the same as having an idol--something else has captured our attention, and if we let it stay alive inside us it will eventually capture our obedience.

Ezekiel 8 or 10 (I forget which) is a good illustration how God is displeased when we adorn the inner walls of the Temple with images of false gods. We are the Temple of God and we have an obligation to keep it clean and undefiled.

Have them put the shoe on the other foot. Ask them if that's how they'd like to be treated. They should then treat their spouse the way they would want to be treated and make a decision not to entertain adulterous thoughts about other people for the sake of their spouse. God will replace whatever joy and pleasure they thought they were getting out of thinking about another person outside of their marriage with his own joy. Ultimately, for Christians the joy of obedience is greater than the pleasure any sin may give us.

I love this:thumbsup

Despite this, there are some whose consciences are dead.
