It is because Satan has surpressed what the Bible defines as sin, in the Christian world, that allows Satan to have the control he does in the Christian world.
And, as a result.....the Christian world knows not what constitutes salvation.
And you do, right? :-? If Satan has so suppressed what the Bible defines as sin, how do you know what you believe is right? :-?
Good question !
Actually, all I can do is tell you what I believe.
I cannot convince you to believe the same, I can only present scripture to you, and then allow the Spirit of God, to impress you, as to its truths.
Bible definition of sin:
#1.)1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law".
#2.) Romans" 7:7 What shall we say then? [is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet".
(NOTE: "Thou shalt not covet", is the 10 commandment, Exodus 20:17).
So, from these 2 verses, I believe that the Bible's definition of what sin is......is revealed in the 10 commandments of Exodus 20:3-17.
#3.) James 2:9-12 "...ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.
2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one [point], he is guilty of all.
2:11 For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
2:12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty".
Now, had the Christian world understood these facts.....they would have understood the they are violating the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11)....and therefore are guilty of sin.....breaking all God's commandments.
