How does one get their name in the Book of Life?

.

Revelation 20:15 The Book of Life is the set of names of those who will live with God forever in heaven.Repent of your sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior Philippians 4:3;Revelation 3:5.That will get you in the Book of Life.

You DO know that was a figure of speech, right.. not an actual book? No one will really have to find a book and turn pages to see if you belong to God. He already knows.

1. Grab a Bible
2. Write your name in the back
3. ?????
4. PROFIT!
I sure hope God likes my sense of humour, beca....:thud
Uh oh. My name is stamped on the front cover... not "inside". Does that mean I'm outta luck?

Endure to the end.
So... concluding that you think "the end" is a future event (and it very well may be), does this mean that you do not believe your name is on God's roles today?

I think all of our names are written in the book from beginning of time, but that our names can be erased IF we do not endure til the end.

He who has the son has life, he who does not have the son of God does not have life.

This is the answer I am looking for. Is there anyone who disagrees with it?

I might think of it a different way - our names are written in the book when we accept the truth - in indelible ink (it cannot be erased!).

It is an actual book. The Bible does not say it is just a figure of speech.

Once your name is written in the Book of Life it is never erased Revelation 3:5;Romans 8:37-39.

If that is true, why does Jesus make reference to "blotting" names from the Book?

Just asking.
