That sounds about right. But hey not to get off topic' but the kids were taught using the Bible in public schools and in most cases were given extensive assignments using it.

I understand that but well back then 'merica was chiefly Christian and jewish in society. so a jew wouldn't mind a topic on noah, and any of those as they well have that cannon too. in those days the church seemed to focus on the ot a lot whereas today it seems to the opposite. imho.ie the ten commadnments and its usages in school comes from the puritians whom I KNOW used the ot as a means to show us we were sinners then lead you to the gospels.
