Brethren, the following quote is what our forum considers Preterism. Please do not allow this thread to turn off topic. This is the End Times Forum. Thanks.

Quoting Wikipedia: "Preterism is a variant of Christian eschatology which holds that some or all of the biblical prophecies concerning the Last Days (or End Times) refer to events which actually happened in the first century after Christ's birth.

Re post 102; except that the error in spirit of vs 24 is associated eith the time of the seige of jerusalem in vs 1-4. The ramp to masada is even still there.

We would entertain discussion aout Dan 9 in the preterist section. As a pre-requisite; please familiarize yourself with Hebrew Parallelism and the hiphil verb tense found in vs 27.

The virtualjewishlubrary has a good article on Hebrew Paralelism.

I don't promise immediate response, but believe here are others who may chime in.

The restoration of all things will begin when Jesus Christ rteturns to earth.

as it is written -

1 "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. Matthew 25:31-32

All the nations will be gathered before Him!

The Lord will remove all who are lawless and wicked from the earth.

This is the work of restoration.

41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

By removing those who are cursed, the restoration of all things can commence.

as it is written -

19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. Romans 8:19-22

Something to look forward too when comes in
His glory and is admired among the saints.

Thaks for the opinion.
Reading in the Kjv has one to believe that he's referring to the sacrificial animals as the creature made subject to futilility by him who subjected them (through moses). At the time of the writing, the sacrifices were still going on until the removal of the temple and judgement upon their continuation. As Paul says in @ 55-60 AD; "until now". " now" can't be both 58 AD and 2013 AD can it? see Heb 8:13 and 10:9 written and read from a @60 AD pre-desolation perspective and pertaining to the soon coming removal and vanishing away of those practices 'as a flood'.

The other point from Acts 3 was addressed as being explained and clarified through the surrounding context before.

additionally, the multinatiinal empire of rome, along with judaism represented "all nations" and all principles and diversities of religions.

Don't forget; Hebrew Paralellism and Hiphil verb tense fo Dan 9 discussiin. You can also investigate what the curse of the law of Moses which Dan confesses in ch 9 was referring to and how it relatrs to Deut 30: 1-4.
