The Elect

Everyone who thinks they are - which probably means no-one is :chin

I'll give a quick answer: God has an elect, he knew them personally, before they were born on earth, and he caused it to happen, and nothings going to change that choice. the problem is he forgot to give out the membership cards! Therefore, each and everyone of us should make our calling and election sure by believing and following the Truth. We should both believe we are the elect, but also act as if we are on the Bubble (a sports term meaning it isn't a given, for those who may not understand the term).

When we give our lives to Jesus, we are made righteous before God through Christ.
These are Gods' elect, the bride of Christ.

God's Elect! Who are God's Elect? Everyone wants to call upon God.

The key to your questions my be found in your question. Let's look at your last statement; "Everyone wants to call upon God." Is that actually true? Is it biblical? The bible says all have sinned, all fall short of the glory of God. Mankind has rejected God. The message from God's word is not inline with saying man wants to call upon God. he does not.

Simply put, the “elect of God” are those whom God has predestined to salvation. They are called the “elect” because that word denotes the concept of choosing. Many people reject this despite the fact that it is scattered all over scripture where we see man rejecting God, God choosing whom he will and even saying it over and over again.

For many it's a concept that just does not sit well, because to accept it means we must accept that we are not righteous; that we are in fact sinners, and that we need God (Christ) to save us. One of the first understandings anyone must have to accept the love of Christ is to "know you are a sinner". God wants a relationship with all man, but none are worthy and so he chooses whom he will. Those He chooses are the elect, predestined to be so. They know they are sinners. They know they require Christ to save them, and they go on to reflect the same Love, Mercy, Forgiveness and Grace to the world that has been offered them. By this others will know Christ.
