The evolution of liberals

You know, I have thought about that, and I believe a lot of the liberals evolved from the Jesus movement form back in the late sixties early seventies.
According to what I've researched that's when apostasy really saturated the churches and humanism came in.I think legalism was one of the reasons for the rebellion.
Some of the rotten fruit of that movement is what we see in liberal government and the emergent churches. :shame

People always try to fix each other. An overly conservative person will create his opposite number...a bleeding heart liberal. And vice-versa!

"Liberal" is not a bad word. I know many liberals, conservatives and moderates alike that are great people and have high moral values. We have to be careful labeling liberalism or conservatism for that matter as something bad.

Now, politicians...that's a completely different animal all together. The label "lie" could probably apply to a majority of politicians regardless of their political affiliation. :)

"liberal" is defined by the actions and values of those who choose wear its label. I prefer to be defined (by my actions and values) as a "child of God", instead of by the labels and titles of this corrupt world.
