I, too believed in “dispensations†for years, but only because it was pounded into my head since Sunday School. But after intense study with opened eyes, I found this doctrine to be man-made and Scripture does not support it.Well, ty for the 'compliment' but you will find that many Christians in North America do follow a dispensational view of the Scriptures. The elementary question: Who is the writer talking to? Old Testement Jews or New Testament Christians? is actually of crucial importance to the interpretation of Scripture. Blessings.
The answer to the “elementary questionâ€: Moses and the Prophets are speaking to both “Old Testament Jews†and “New Testament Christians†because we are the same people… the commonwealth of Israel. Moses specifically states that he is not speaking ONLY to the people standing before him that day, but ALSO to a specific generation upon whom the End of the Ages have come…. And that would be US. We see many things happening in our lifetime that the Prophets foretold would happen, and so they too, are speaking to us.
