I don't play as much these days, but I wanted to start a thread so everyone can can show off their gear.

2007 Ibanez RG:

The Marshall half stack is in storage. When I do play, I use the Line 6 with my Crybaby wah pedal.

I've been eyeing this ESP arrow guitar. I've always wanted a V guitar and I love the cutout on the bottom. Perfect for playing sitting down.

That flying V looks Sick!!! Nice RG series too. My dad bought one from a pawn shop, it was in a hard case and had a burgundy matte finish i want to say.

Thanks. I also had a Schecter C1 Hellraiser that I bought from a friend. Solid mahogany body, set neck, EMG 81/85 active pickups. It sounded a lot like a Les Paul. I ended up selling it back him several years later.

I havent played a les paul, ive heard there very nice for leads, id like to try a set neck or neck through. But my music career has only accrued bolt-ons thus far lol

The Les Pauls are nice, but they're very overpriced for what you get. I prefer the strat style guitars myself. I didn't notice too much of a difference with the set neck other than it felt a bit more sturdy. That Schecter had amazing sustain though.

Well im inept at putting pictures up, so i can say. I have a red sunburst yamaha acoustic fg820. Just like a step up from baseline, sounds good tho,

And i bought a jackson JS32Q a few years back, blue graphics, plays good for $500 :lol

I use my hotone ampero amp simulator and just run it in my tascam dp008 when im feeling a little inspired, but i have a lot of other pressing issues these days

LP's are Heavvvy, you know it when you've played a 2 hour set with one of those

I’ve mostly used medium gauge strings on my bass because they balance tone and feel well for me, but I noticed lighter ones make faster playing easier, especially during longer sessions.

I played a bit of music years ago, but got out of it after a while. Last year, I picked up a cheap acoustic bass guitar, to kind of get a bit more back into playing. After a few months, I got a Musicman Stingray, Intro Series, basically the cheapest Stingray out there, I guess. I like it, it sounds good. Thinking about putting on some coated strings, hoping it'll sound more like an upright bass, or at least lose a lot of the fret buzz.

We have a wonderful violinist, who rarely plays her instrument in unusual ways. Once I joked about buying the church a fretless bass ukulele for her to try, thinking there couldn't possibly be such a thing. Then I found that they really are a thing! They use these big soft strings, have a very surprising plethora of sound. There are also fretted ones. Haven't bought one yet...but...

That RG looks like it’s got some serious stories behind it. I went through a phase where I barely played too, then randomly picked up my old Epiphone and got hooked again thanks to this ArtMaster online music lessons thing a buddy told me about. It helped me break out of a rut. That ESP Arrow sounds slick—those cutouts really do make a difference when you're noodling on the couch.
