My very own personal contribution to "Ripley's Believe it or not" is the incredible fact that
some church leaders have been deceived into believing that the Holy Spirit is only "a force".
Witness the former Moderator (for 8 years?) of the large (Protestant) United Church of Canada.

Aproximately 10 verses indicate that the Holy Spirit is God.
Another 10 verses have Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in the same verse.

@John Zain But you obviously don't understand the power and love of God the Father and the Holy Spirit. If you did, you would agree that his seal and love stays with you until death. I don't see any scriptures about the power of God and the Holy Spirit. His love for you never ends, and he will never cast you out. Blessings.

Thou obviously don't understand a lot ... with the foremost being:

In the old covenant ... God's chosen people who were NOT obedient
were left scattered all over the desert floor.

In the new covenant ... God's chosen people who are NOT obedient
will suffer a worse fate, according to Hebrews 4 (i.e. Paul?)
... because these people have the Holy Spirit to greatly help them do things right!

Time to wake up ... and forget some of the 1900 years of false doctrines in the church!

Don't be urksome, be blessed!

I understand what you're saying John. Obeying is good, walking in the spirit is good, listening to his voice is good. I understand all this, but that's not the argument. The argument is whether Jesus will cast you out for making mistakes and walking out of his will for you, and the answer is no. The power of God will always bring you back into his will if you drift off. The seal being permanent is not false doctrine. Blessings.

Great ...
thanks for not evaluating just an example of the argument that stands against your beliefs:

I could say the same for you. Again, you're missing the argument at hand. What is the argument here John. Re-read what I've said.

Da argument here, my boy, is ...
The Holy Spirit has the attributes of a person, not a force!

Other arguments are being handled in other threads.

Now [edited] be blessed, okay?

Oh I agree that the Holy Spirit is a person, but that still is not the argument. You again missed the whole point..

God the Father's name is Yahweh. God the Son's name is Yeshua. God the Holy Spirit....what is his name? Mr. Holy Spirit?? God the Father is in heaven. God the Son is at the Father's right hand. Where is Mr. Holy Spirit? Is he on the left hand side of God the Father or is he some where near the throne room? Is he somewhere in the world? Maybe he is divided up into many many persons....hey that is an idea isn't it? So if he is divided up into many many persons how can he still be an individual in the same sense as the Father and the Son?:)

So if he is divided up into many many persons how can he still be an individual in the same sense as the Father and the Son?

Because the Holy Spirit belongs to the same God, and what God represents. God of power/knowledge/glory, not just some guy on the street corner. This is the God of creation. You're underestimating who God is. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. God the Father created even you Grappler. Do you believe that he created you? Psalm 139:13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.

God the Father or the God the Son? which one does the Spirit belong to?? You said he belonged to God. Guess what urk...he belongs to me also. Pretty amazing i think. But i actually wasn't asking you....if you notice i was asking these questions to Zain. You and i have already had this discussion and it didn't seem to go anywhere.:)

He belongs to both because the only way to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and have access to the kingdom of God is through Jesus Christ. How does the Holy Spirit belong to you Grappler when you're not even sure if Jesus Christ is God deity?

Wow do you normally make up lies about what others believe and then judge them for that or is this just a one time thing?lol

Okay i will correct you. Yeshua is the Son of God. Do you understand what that means? I don't think you really do when you make the false claim that i don't believe Jesus Christ is God. But if you want to continue to say that i don't believe Jesus is God then please go ahead....i forgive you.:)

I'm sorry, you were just confused how the Holy Spirit can be in a million different people at one time and still be an individual to people's needs. That's good Grappler, Yeshua is God deity.

These are the attributes of Truth.

Truth can reside in a person, and truth can source behaviors that we see in a person.
But truth has these attributes whether man exists or does not exist.
