The Justice, Mercy and Righteousness of God in the Gospel

So you said and so Paul said, "be ye reconciled to God." 2Cor.5:20

because the unrepentant aren't reconciled to God.
The law has been fulfilled and abolished, Ephesians 2:15. All sin has been atoned for, 1 John 2:2.

God now stands before humanity with open arms, pleading, "Be reconciled unto me" If one does not accept the offer of reconciliation, they are eternally lost.

The law has been fulfilled and abolished, Ephesians 2:15.
Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; Eph.2:15

Abolishing the "enmity" of the law, that is a law, if enforced would have condemned them. Do you understand? Paul is saying that if Jesus had enforced the law, while they were sinning against him, they would be condemned.

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 1Jn.2:2
Propitiation means "appeasement." God doesn't need to make appeasement with himself. He's one in himself.

The appeasement, or peace between God and man, is exemplified in the example Christ gave.
God has never been divided against himself. God is appeased by his own nature.
As an example, in Lk.13:6-9, the landowner and the caretaker aren't at odds over what to do with the fruitless tree, because God and his Son are perfectly One. They both know the fruitless tree is headed for the fire, so they agree to nurture it for one more year. It's no different from God giving the people of Noahs' day 120 years to repent.

So, are you saying that the sins for every human has been paid for?

If that is the case, then no one need the Savior Jesus Christs and the sin of unbelief is covered.

Sounds silly, no?

Because of the doing and the dying of Jesus God is at peace with the world. God sees ALL THINGS in his Son Jesus Christ. Jesus has victoriously defeated sin, death and the devil and now sits in heaven as, "The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords" Revelation 19:16.

Yes, but because of our Lords' doing and dying, because of his merciful longsuffering at the hands of sinners, his peace is extended to the ungodly. The Son shows how he gives sinners time to repent, in the exact way our Father does. That's what the cross of Christ is all about.

I've been watching this thread. I believe you are casting pearls before swine brother.

God is at peace with the world

What does that even mean?

All sin has been atoned for, 1 John 2:2. This is a common Christian belief. This is why salvation is by faith alone.

1 John 2:2

propitiation. Cf. 1Jn_4:10. The word means "appeasement" or "satisfaction." The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross satisfied the demands of God's holiness for the punishment of sin (cf. Rom_1:18; 2Co_5:21; Eph_2:3). So Jesus propitiated or satisfied God. See notes on Heb_2:17; Heb_9:15 for a clear illustration of propitiation.

for the whole world. This is a generic term, referring not to every single individual, but to mankind in general. Christ actually paid the penalty only for those who would repent and believe. A number of Scriptures indicate that Christ died for the world (Joh_1:29; Joh_3:16; Joh_6:51; 1Ti_2:6; Heb_2:9). Since much of the world will be eternally condemned to hell to pay for their own sins, they could not have been paid for by Christ (cf. Mat_7:13-14).

The passages which speak of Christ's dying for the whole world must be understood to refer to mankind in general (as in Tit_2:11). World indicates the sphere, the beings toward whom God seeks reconciliation and has provided propitiation. God has mitigated His wrath on sinners temporarily, by letting them live and enjoy earthly life (see note on 1Ti_4:10). In that sense, Christ has provided a brief, temporal propitiation for the whole world. But He actually satisfied fully the wrath of God eternally only for the elect who believe. Christ's death in itself had unlimited and infinite value because He is Holy God. Thus, His sacrifice was sufficient to pay the penalty for all the sins of all whom God brings to faith. But the actual satisfaction and atonement was made only for those who believe (cf. Joh_10:11, Joh_10:15; Joh_17:9, Joh_17:20; Act_20:28; Rom_8:32, Rom_8:37; Eph_5:25). The pardon for sin is offered to the whole world, but received only by those who believe (cf. 1Jn_4:9, 1Jn_4:14; Joh_5:24). There is no other way to be reconciled to God.

The idea that Christ died for "the whole world" is in the truth that anyone can accept the gift of salvation. God desires no one to perish. The idea that Christ died only for an "elect" group is, not only biblically erroneous, but an affront to the works of Christ on the cross and the justice, love and mercy of the Father. It's beyond contestation.

John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
Joh 10:15 even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.

The sheep are those who are and will be saved. Not the whole human race. The offer of salvation is universal.

Those that the Father draws to Him and receive His free gift of salvation are His elect people.

Romans 8:30 and those whom He predestined, He also called; and those whom He called, He also justified; and those whom He justified, He also glorified.

This is what I believe.

Merry Christmas
