The Law: Fulfilled or Abolished?

That is what it means for the law to be added, and the law to be taken away.

What the law being added means is:

If the road that led you to this conclusion is the same road that brought your "two cents", the what purpose does the road serve. It was added, so that The road could bring you to me and the oxygen bottle I'm holding. The oxygen bottle that was meant to give you life, will now be used to put you out of your misery. Both of which are grace.

The road is the law. Which is the path to death...death in Christ. Which is really life. (?)

What do you stand to lose?

Call it.

I can't think of a better time to do that. My patient striving with Elijah has come to an end.

(He never did respond to my inquiry as to whether or not he believes that a person is justified by keeping Sabbath. No more benefit of the doubt for him.)

You, by far have a superior revelation of that whole concept of external "rule keeping", whether law keepers or Churchianity folk.

I believe I have made that clear.

It doesn't seem he is ever going to "get it".

Might as well flip the darn quarter and put him out of his misery.

JLB
He'll probably say I don't have to do this. People always say the same thing.

I didn't put nothing up.

3 For we who have believed do enter that rest...

9 There remains therefore a rest for the people of God.

10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Those who believe have entered that rest.

For those who have not believed, there remains a rest.

Those who have believed, have entered that rest.

Elijah764,

Must a person keep a literal Sabbath to be justified before God?

Yes, or no?

You're not evading my question are you?

Post 304 was your answer.

Does your brain comprehend anything?? (as sincere question)
I have told you over & over again why I keep the Lords 7th Day Sabbath! One more time... IT IS BECAUSE I LOVE HIM!
Surely you must of read this above.... Matt. 22
[35] Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

[36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.

--Elijah

And as stated, until you are able to 'see' straight you can be as your 's'pirit dictates?

Does your heart understand? (A sincere question)

As he has told you over and over, the evidence that you love God is; that you love your neighbor.

20 If someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? 1 John 4:20

And again

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7

You don't get to pick the rule from the Law that you want to keep, and say that this rule validates that I love God.

John says you are a liar.

The only thing that validates that you love God, is the obedience to His command to love your neighbor.

In obeying this command, you show that you love God, by loving your neighbor.

Any other external commandment is null and void, if this command is not obeyed.

Elijah674,

Since you wonder why my brain can not comprehend, I ask you why your brain can not comprehend that Paul says when we 'love our neighbor as ourself' we have fulfilled (legally satisfied) the commands “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet, and...any other commandment"? (Romans 13:9 NASB).

I'm being serious. Why do you not see the plain words of Paul? Explain this to us.

Did you get my email Allenware?

Elijah, I asked you this about 20 threads ago on this subject and you never answered me.
Just what is it we need to do to keep the Sabbath?
What is it that you do to keep the Sabbath?
Would you please give a straight answer so that we can all understand.
Thank you.

Christians don't need to follow the Rabbinic laws anymore because salvation is direct through God grace and not dependent upon works.
